Pretty awesome since it's like the Atheist version of the rapture.

All of you have already chosen your doomsday scenario by electing and consenting to the corrupt leadership that the world suffers under right now.
Best part is, it's not going to be fast like a meteor or simple like dealing with zombies.
It's going to be worse and take a long long time.
Enjoy it. It's what you wanted.
You get it.

It's possible it's going to take much longer than any of us might live, so... you know... not that much of a problem for any of us in particular, but only for any offspring we might choose to foster, if any.

First there will be the sound of a trumpet, and then there will be a flash of light, and billions of people will be gone. Gas prices will be reduced, malls would give away free clothes, restaruants would give away free food, and old Bibles would be recycled into Milk Cartons. ____________ ___555111___ ^^My Signature is Better than Yours^^ |

Zombie apoc for sure, although I don't think it would be as epic as in the movies.
I mean, what would we have to prevent...being bitten? You're telling me we have Kevlar vests that can stop a bullet, but no real protection against human teeth? Seriously, our jaw isn't that strong.
For ****s sake, go 5th century knight on their ass's and get an armor suit.
And for the love of God can someone please put a ninja (only 1 would be needed) in a zombie movie?
Doesn't anyone realize that guns run out of bullets? Swords just need to be sharpened.

We'll believe it or not, a bullet proof vest provides very little protection against stabs and bites. You'd need a stab vest for . that
Or better yet a Shark Suit. That thing's just good old fashioned chainmail done up with modern materials. and further more why do i even need a sig? |

A fairly close Gamma ray burst, no time for society to unravel or for people to suffer and we probably wouldn't even know it was coming or realise what was happening.

Originally by: Akita T Oh, boy, so many fun ones ! I don't even know what to pick !
A few of my favs (in order of my personal perception of the likelihood of them actually happening):
* grey goo scenario (molecular zombies) * sun going supernova ("because it ate something bad" that was passing by) * current vacuum state being replaced by an even more stable vacuum (i.e. "false vacuum collapse") * time travel annihilating humanity's existence, or even preventing Earth from forming as a planet at all * whoever is running "The Matrix" gets bored with it and shuts down the machine our universe simulation is running on
1. I'll pass on the self-replicating nanobot doomsday. Boring scenario. 2. Too quick. Plus, we're like what...5 billion years from that happening. And stars tend to be very punctual. 3. Didn't some physicist prove that FVC is impossible? Even if he's wrong, this amounts to an instant death scenario that isn't "exciting" in the least. 4. Haven't I seen that movie before? 5. I wish I hadn't seen that movie?
For my money, I'll take one of the two for "game over day":
1. Alien invasion. At least we get to go down fighting. Just let me pop one E.T. pod before I die. 2. Asteroid/Meteor impact. There is a chance for survival.

Excellent, I will attach Screens and controllers to these computers and turn Humanity into X-Box's. How do you feel about being trapped forever in CoD 4?

I like the idea of having for a while a whole city to myself as I look for other natrually immune survivours.

Makes me think of the "grey goo" scenario. If i had to choose a serious answer to this thread it would probably be that.
