Hi All, my basic hope with this post is that someone can either spot what I'm doing wrong or suggest a fitting tool that actually works...
Basically I have a fit that is stable at 22.5% in Eve. In EFT it shows as stable at 57%. In EveHQ it's 48%.
I've imported my character skills into both, and set up the fit exactly the same.
Here's the fit:
Dominix.
Low Slots:
Capacitor Power Relay II Armor Thermic Hardener I * 2 Armor Kinetic Hardener I * 2 Large Armor Repairer II Drone Damage Amplifier II
Mid Slots
Cap Recharger II * 4 OmniDirectional Tracking Link I
High
250mm Prototype Gauss Gun * 3 Small Tractor I Salvager I Drone Link Augmenter I
Rigs:
Large Auxiliary Nano Pump I * 2 Large Capacitor Control Circuit I
So..... can anyone suggest another fitting tool that might be able to correctly calculate my cap usage?

umm if it says cap stable at 22% then it's not cap stable at all lol. It means your cap will run out soon

hence me wondering why eft / evehq both show me as being cap stable at around 50%
edit: also it's only the tractor beam & salvager that put me below 25%, with those off (as they usually are when in combat) I'm at around 30%. |

Did you enter all your skills in EFT? Repair systems V and Rapid Firing V with no cap skills make this fit unstable |

You can find out if it's really stable by getting a lvl 1 mission and shooting some frigate from 1km for 10 minutes w/ all other modules active. |

I'd suspect, since you're rubbing so much T1 all over the ship otherwise...
You probably used T1 CPR and Cap Rechargers, which wouldn't perform as well as T2.
Also, I'd check to see you didn't use Nanobot Accelerator rigs instead of Aux Nano Pumps. One increases how much reps per cycle, the other speeds up the cycle and subsequently makes it eat Cap faster.
Overall, I'd suggest waiting until you can use more T2 gear, like hardeners and guns, before you set out with this ship. |

You use too many cap modules on your ship, which breaks the fitting programs. Gallente - the choice of the interstellar gentleman |

In my experience, all of the tools to know your cap stability are wrong, as even a 50% stable ship can run out of cap, and a 10% stable ship can be fully stable.
I don't know how a better way to do it would be other than to just test it out in real conditions. |

i'm quite sure you didn't put ammo to guns in eft and/or evehq, or in one ammo if different |

For Amarr, different ammo uses different amounts of cap. |

Not true. Since max cap recharge is around 30-33% he will be cap stable at around 50 (ish)%, assuming he starts with max cap. I don't have access to the cap recharge graph, but this should be fairly accurate. |

The problem is that all the calculations don't take module activation into account, only average cap consumption.
