I am looking to do a remap but before I leave the land of perception and wisdom I was wondering if I should bother with some of the level five missile support skills, specifically;
- Guided Missile Precision
- Missile Bombardment
- Missile Projection
- Target Navigation Prediction
- Warhead Upgrades
I know it depends, but I was wondering what your personal view of each of these skills is.
Thank you in advance.

If you use missiles, yes. Get them all to at least IV, preferably V.

It will depend on what ship and what missiles you intend to use.
A cruise missile boat? Projection and Bombardment become less important because you'll have plenty of range anyway ù at best they make it easier to count volleys when you shoot NPCs.
A torpedo boat? Now Projection and Bombardment become critical to get the most out of your missiles, but on the other hand, Guided Missile Precision becomes 100% useless.
Target Navigation Prediction is handy, but only truly becomes worth it once you start firing high-damage T2 missiles.
Finally, Warhead Upgrades is unversally good to have, but as a rank-5, the training time to lvl V for those additional 1.8% damage is questionable. You definitely want it to IV though, but then again, as the old adage goes: anything worth training is worth training to IV. ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

Aye, listen to the Tippia.
Warhead Upgrades 5 - You'll eventually want this, regardless of missile type. Guided Missile 5 - Cruise/Heavy missiles benefit nicely from this. Target Navigation 5 - Useful all around, but Torps will NEED every little boost they can get. Missile Projection/Bombard 5 - Useful for Heavy/Cruise, but pretty much mandatory for Torps/HAMs/Rockets.
Cruise/Heavy missiles have great range to start with, but deal less DPS. Easier to play with. Torps (and HAMs) have nasty damage potential, but are almost worthless without the investment to maximize the range. Fully boosted, these short-ranged packages of pain reach out to smack the living crap out of someone. _______________________________

do not leave will/percep before training AWU to 5.
I did it and very glad I did, although that means i have to do the other toon too not looking forward to that :/
all supports to 5, minus GMP, tbh it's a helluva train for little return as I see it.
imo

Get them all to 5.
Warhead Upgrades makes you gankier. Sometimes 2% more DPs means you can gank the rat 25% quicker.
The range skillz are cool. I favour long-range weapon systems like Heavy Missiles and Cruise Missile, but I still trained mine to 5 and 5 early, and never regretted it. If you want to use Torpedoes or HAMs, or even Standard Missiles, they're even more attractive, and they're probably a must-have for Rockets.
The skillz that help you gank smaller and faster targets are also nice, although note that one of them doesn't affect Rockets/HAMs/Torpedoes.

I do 108 DPs, rat tanks 105 DPS. If it has 99 hitpoints, it takes me 33 seconds to gank it.
Now I improve my DPS by slightly less than 2%, to 110 DPS. The rat still tanks 105 DPS, so now it takes me slightly less than 20 seconds to gank it.
The question is, how often do rats tank? I've personally observed rats recover lost shield HP, or lost armour HP, in chunks that suggest active tanking rather than passive shield regen, but I'm not sure I've observed a rat do both, and I can't say how common rat tanking is.

Rats are active tank. Rep cycles... vary.
Still, more DPS = dead rat
Dead rats do 0 DPS
Some call it DPS tanking, while I call it.... 'Corpse Tanking' _______________________________

I talk about four kinds of tanking:
* Armour tanking * Active shield tanking * Passive shield tankin * Active ganking

If your main mission ship is a missle boat than getting all the support skills to 5 is a worthwhile investment for sure. It will take some time but better to complete this training before going for the remap.

GMP is the one I might justify putting off for a bit, especially if you're going with a Tengu (or NH) over a Raven. I've been in a NH for years and am just now finishing up GMP 5 -- at 83 million sp.
The others are all pretty helpful though, even range skills.

Akita himself explained it with this very useful post
I recommend you to read it, and then get TNP to V ASAP.
