Anyone restart new RD agents after the last patch with changes to the agents? As I now have access to all of this corp's level 4 R&D (was trying to grind them, but hit a funk and got bored few weeks back), I just noticed that these level 4 agents are giving me 89.6 while the only one I haven't canceled is giving me nearly twice that at 182 (the first level 4 I could access back around Janurary was around negitive 15 on the old system). I had level 3 agents positive giving me more then these ones before the changes. I could do with more faction standing to them I think, but its just so low that it caught me by surprise. anyone with max "standing" know how many RP points you can get with the new standing system?

RP gain per day = research type field multiplier * (agent level + your appropriate science skill level)^2 * (1 + 0.01*(20 + 5 * your negotiation skill level + your effective standing with the particular agent)) datacore cost = research type field multiplier * 50
Starship techs have a field multiplier of 3, mechanical engineering has 1, most others either 1 or 2, but it doesn't really matter since datacores/day is the same regardless of field anyway. _

You lost me after that
So the numbers are pointless, might as well just change multiplier and cost to purchase to the same values for all of the research options to streamline it.
Thanks anyway

the maths aside...
what datacores are you researching?
it is likily that the one you are getting twice as much from will also be costing you twice as much to buy

Edited by: DeODokktor on 11/06/2011 13:17:58 l4's with relevant skill to lvl V should give about 117.45 rp/day *edit* before field bonus.

Only if you also have Negotiations trained to L5 and have no standings with the agent. With L4 and no standings it's "only" 113.4 RP/day, and with L5 and near +10 effective standings it's 125.55 RP/day. For a "field multiplier = 1" science, that is. _

Relying on RP/day is wrong.
Since different datacores cost different amounts of RP to purchase, you are better off working the figures out at Datacore/Day.

All cores cost the exact same to buy actually. In terms of "Time"..
Starship cores should cost 300k each, but theres so many ignorant people who dont know the value of time that they stay in a driven down market..
There are 3 role mutators.. 1) Ship (3*) 2) Weapon (2*) (I think it's 2, it could be 1.5, unsure) 3) Everything else.
There are troubles getting some cores on l4 agents, and then having you skill to lvl5 in all fields is difficult/costly.
As per above, yes I did quote it with the standings of doing at least 1 mission (to have a base standing of +0.00) and nego V NegoV is a basic training skill, everyone should have it.. ----------- Never Forget the joy of finding a main to link to a scammer alt. N-y-p-h-u-r ! ! |
