+1. About 90% of the time, no warp tunnel. Occasionally it kicks in.

Lost warp tunel effect since Incursion 1.6 patch #3. Still random appearance of effect but only once in 10-15 warps effect shows. Using Ati 4870. Before update everything was fine.

Edited by: Nielixator on 28/06/2011 16:14:33 No idea when I lost the warp effect, I left the game for three months. After the three months, I reinstalled EVE and then I noticed it was gone. This was before Incarna though. Beginning of June somewhere. Strange that no-one from CCP is answering this?
Edit: It's not completely gone. One time it's there, most of the time it isn't. It has nothing to do with the system I'm in, nor the ship I'm in. I keep thinking 'Oh, the next patch will solve the problem'. I get disappointed every time.

Same problem here. Clearing cache doesn't fix it here either. My 2nd client seems to show the warp 'bubble/tunnel' about 40% of the time, 1st is prolly around 10% of the time if I'm lucky. Been a problem since b4 incarna. It's not a game killer, but it doesn't look right.

Had the same missing warp effect issue, by changing to fixed window from full screen mode it seems to have fixed it for me.

Hi all,
I'm sorry for joining this thread so late. We are working on fixing the missing warptunnel. The challenge with this issue is that it's not 100% reproducible (although a 90% rate comes pretty close to it). Our graphics programmers are hard at work trying to solve this.

Was also experiencing the loss of warp tunnel, disabling the "Smooth Camera Movement" under the Incarna camera control's in ESC menu seemed to resolve the issue for me

I can confirm that this worked for me. Disabling "Smooth Camera Movement" did something.

I disabled camera smoothing, no change, then I disabled depth effects, and I got my warp bubble back. So one of those two, or both settings, cause that. Running on a GTX 480, might be one WHQL release behind in driver updates. |

Disabling the "smooth camera movement" did not fix this for me, I tried this with disabling depth effects as well - it is marginally better than it was, but still random and shows up maybe 60% of the time.
I hope they can find a fix for this (I miss my warp bubble)

Same issue here: GeForce 9600 GT.
I personally don't think it is gfx card related. For some reason it sometimes just doesn't animate.

I tried using "fixed window mode" instead of full screen and this still did not fix this for me - still not showing most of the time.

I don't know if its related or not, but I see the text of the current selected object in space "blinking" to the upper corner. It does it about one frame out of a thousand (so its not quite easy to see), but it happens every time the warp tunnel isn't rendering properly.
I've done a lot of 3D computer graphic programming myself, and it looks like either a state change that isn't reset properly or a missing pop matrix on the stack.
For me, the missing warp tunnel is about 99% of the time. A rarely get to see it. I guess it depends what random value is in memory when the code reads it. :P

Just leave it out, or make it optional. For people that have lowend systems, the warp effect lags the game to hell.

Seems to be happening much more frequently now - I rarely get the warp tunnel effect. Using Windows 7 and a NVIDIA GTX 560 TI.

The effect returned after I cleared the cache for a while, now after the latest patch it has gone again. Doesn't matter whether I'm using two clients or not. --

+ 1 here.
GF 470 GTX, driver: 275.50
I get the effect about 30% of the times, not system specific, while warping within the same system 2-3 times sometimes it's there most of the times it's not.
Patched to latest client version.

Had abit of a mess aroung with this (as I'm having the same problem). I found that if, when wishing to warp somewhere, you choose where you want to go in the overview, then clicked 'warp to' on the 'selected item' menu, I got the warp tunnel effect every time, If I just clicked on an empty space to get the drop down menu and selected a place to go and chose 'warp to' from the drop down menu, the tunnel effect would be random, (I'd say 70% off, 30% on).
Try it and see what results you get.
