Edited by: Alexzandros on 03/06/2011 01:40:17 So in the last 24 hours I've gotten 2 rather suspicious emails from the CCP mailserver...
A notification to enter to win a drawing that last day to enter was May 8th
A notification for 19.95 for 60 days if I reactivate my account, problem being all my accounts are already active...
CCP reply? |

Both emails are from [email protected]

And I just had the Eureka moment... found the flaw in the email, it is indeed a phishing email....
http://***eve-on-***line.com.***nu/ <-- masked link in the email. I put asterisks in it to prevent accidental clicking. DO NOT CLICK.
Anyone know the email for the CCP security or wherever we are supposed to send these? |

What's scary is that someone knows you have accounts from eve and know your email address.

Edited by: Forum Troll Trolling on 03/06/2011 04:56:48 there is a script on https://secure.eveonline.com/CklRegister.aspx from ru4.com that tracks and records information, and ru4.com has been reported for spyware, viruses, tracking cookies, and all the malicious sort details here and here
edit: ru4.com is really "X Plus One" corporation that deals in information brokering, spyware and other things, so that is probably where those malicious emails keep coming from

Yeah upon closer inspection it appears that they used an open relay from a construction company in wisconsin to send the email... I did find sreegs' email to send the info to [email protected] so I forwarded it all to him.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I've sent the malicious link to our security team so that they can deal with it.
Please note that the list of known phishing emails and other important security information can be found here.
