Since capital warfare has progressed and got to a massive scale Cyno's are quite overpowering been able to jump 100+ caps in through one portal.
With the current state of the game cyno's should be limited like wormholes so you have to get multiple cyno's into a system to get your fleet in. Creating more risk and possbilities to cut down the enemy capital fleet's logistics.

Edited by: Tyme Xandr on 04/06/2011 02:14:54 I like this idea, care to further explain how you feel it should work? What kind of mass limit? Should Carriers have a limit to the amount of mass 3 carriers would have (as in total mass of ships being jumped). Supers 3x and Titans 3x?
What do you think?

This goes against eve lore. Cyno's are not gateways but a beacon for jump drives to lock on to. Even if it were to be implemented. You will just get multiple cyno's. All it will do is slow things by a few seconds.

This... mhm
It's not going to work though. And look at like this.... whomever has the connections and capability will swamp/undermined anyone in EVE. If someone/someppl wants something dead, it's going to die by their will in any means. The cyno limitation... pfffft, good luck with your hot drop.

I envision it working on a mass limit like wormholes.
Plus yes they can bring in multiple cyno's but atleast there's more risk to it. Instead of just remote repping one ship while stuff cyno's in they'd have to logistically look after multiple ships. Also they'd have to bring those multiple cyno ships into system through the gates etc. Meaning frigate would get in with cyno's quite easily, but can also be quite easily popped. Large cyno ships with a tank would have a trouble getting into the system in the first place.

Actually, I imagine it would go more along the lines of:
1: Single frigate lights cyno 2: If using a titan bridge, multiple cyno ships jump through and open cynos. if cynoing in caps, multiple carriers jump in and light cynos 3: everything continues exactly as it did before

These kinds of artificial limitations will just be met with works-arounds, either opening cynos back to back or simultaneously. This is not the best idea ever...
