It is awesome, yes, but I hate being forced to use it when I am docked in a station for the following reasons:
- I hate having to get used to a new interface - I like to look at my ship from all angles (and even Ship Spin for no reason) - My movement in Captain's Quarters keeps getting stuck, and is unbearably slow - It is extremely laggy compared to the normal interface, and it causes my computer to start heating up very badly - It still seems a little too buggy (when I clicked on the holographic ship and then clicked on "Open Ship Hangar", it said "Warp Drive Active" for no reason and my character lost the ability to move) ____________ ___951559___ ^^My Signature is Better than Yours^^ |

You mean they don't have a run option?
*Edit* Now that I think of it, when hasn't eve been slow? Clearly you've never been in a battleship and flown 95km to a stargate.

Well, although a run option would be nice, what I meant was although the animation was playing normal, my character's movement kept stuttering, and was moving slower than suppossed to. ____________ ___372880___ ^^My Signature is Better than Yours^^ |

Have you tried unplugging your modem?

All that would happen if I did that is I would lose my internet connection and I would have to reconnect my router. But I think it was a client error more than anything else. ____________ ___693234___ ^^My Signature is Better than Yours^^ |

I had some lag issues and restarting my modem helped.

I think what he is saying is that you need to get off the internet. Maybe go outside or clean your house. Or you could remodel your house to look like the captains quarters. That way you could experience it without socket errors or lag. Your FPS would be amazing I would dare say almost lifelike.

Another solution might be to unplug your monitor and blow on the plugs. If you are old enough to remember the NES, this works liked a charm many, many times.

Also, have you tried turning your computer off? --------------------------------------------- I am a big fan of knowing what you are talking about prior to making asinine suggestions or comments. |

What you really need to do is delete your system 32 file, that will fix all your problems.

You could try using a real computer instead of a Mac

What the hell makes you think I was using a Mac?
I was mainly just trying to list the reasons why I want the option to use the old interface for use in stations.
To everyone, in case you missed my point in my first post, I will list all of the reasons again. Captain's Quarters: - Is very buggy - Uses up ALOT of CPU and GPU - Is an Unfamiliar Interface
CCP, please give us the option to not use it if we don't want to ____________ ___66380___ ^^My Signature is Better than Yours^^ |

I think CCP will have to optimize the engine before release ... Its buggy yes... Thats why its not final... Its in the test server... so that you can test it and report the bugs... so that they can optimize it before release... Personally, I really like the new interface... But thats just my personal opinion...
Yes its... some kind of laggy sometimes... unresponsive... You click on something and nothing happens...

shouldn't these be posted in the test forum?

Since you seem to be having issues with it taking a lot of CPU/GPU, have you tried running an anti-virus program or a spyware program? Viruses and spyware tend to slow down computers and use a lot of system resources.

Your computer needs to breath to run fast so you should maybe put it in your window or in front of your air conditioner.

Maybe you should join an alliance like White Noise, and utilise their proven and demonstrated Real Money Transfer expertise to transform large amounts of GOLD into COLD HARD CASH. Since the US Dollar is at an all time low right now, this would be a perfect time to use this CASH that you obtained from your GOLD, and turn it into a BRAND NEW computer. Hopefully this should solve some of your lag issues; EVE is known to run sub-optimally on dusty old computers that you bought on credit because you were unemployed after quitting your job to play EVE all day.
