I know that CCP can care less about this but its looks so unrealistic. Its looks more like max size of 2 trucks instead of 1 km long ship.

Agreed. Also all ships need to be the same distance from the dock. My taranis appears about as big as my brutix. :/

meh, take the bad with the good. better than seeing a giant low-texture version of your mach.

In one of the first public builds of Incarna ships were indeed much bigger. When I looked at my Machariel from the balcony in a Gallente Station, I could only see some of the exhaust ports and a part of the ships hull, the rest was so huge, that could not be seen entirely.
This also caused issues, because the ships textures look a bit poor if you seen them from a release close angle.
In summary, I would also like to see the size of the ships scaled up again, but this would probably require some additional work on the quality of the textures. Maybe in one of the next expansions.

Instead of treating all ships as equal, they should make unique "docks" for each type of ship (all within the same big room of course).
For frigates, cruisers, & destroyers, it should be docked right above your pod, with a ramp going to the side or something.
Larger ships like industrials & battleships should be docked to the right-hand side, yet fill the screen.
Capitals can be farther away, more in the center of the large hangar room.
All of these should have shuttles going to and from the ship, and tubes that refuel the ship or pipe food in for the crew should be connected to each ship. They should have some sort of glowing anchor that keeps the ship secure.

The problem is again that they are trying to make CQ all things to all men... To allow 'ship spinning' they have had to move the ships farther out so they can still rotate. Instead of having a separate hanger view where you can spin you're self and having the stationary ship up close and big looking in CQ. Now they have the ships far out and slowly rotating on their own... pleasing no-one. They could make it a bit better by having the ship go partly over the balcony as it rotates allowing it to be placed closer... but up close and alongside the balcony would be better. __________________________________________________

I'd rather have a giant floating hulk above me than something far away just becaus the textures would look bad.
