~ 'We've lost our DB - we'll reload and be back up at 20:50 UTC'
I don't have a UTC clock on my desktop - only time I need UTC is for EVE so I rely on the in game clock. Do you think it would be nice to have the login screen have a UTC clock embedded in it?

Find out how much UTC is off from your timezone and then do the math yourself.

and you can get a hour glass, count the sand grains and calculate the time for yourself.
That's why we build things to make life easier for us, cleaning up clutter and allowing us to think about less mindless things like keeping/calculating time.

you would think as often as eve crashes, they would have a whole module dedicated for their server restart service on the main screen.

if you have a smartphone or if you look for PC apps on the web, there shouldn't be a problem finding a world clock app that lets you define the time in different cities around the world.
Set the time for Reykjavik, Iceland and you'll have UTC always available (since Iceland don't have daylight savings time, they're on UTC all year round).

If you are running Vista or Win7 you could simply add a 2nd clock to your taskbar.
Rightclick on the taskbar clock, select "Adjust date/time" and head to the "Additional clocks" tab.
Set your additional clock to the Reykjavik timezone and name it TQ. Every time you hover your mouse over your taskbar clock now, you'll be presented with the TQ time.
(At least thats how I do it )
