Boobie Haters Untie!
Apart from the hilarious man-shaming misandrists in this thread, I think your post actually has merit. I think it very much belongs in EVE.
We supposedly belong to a caste of god-like immortals, unbound from all laws but the ones Concord enforces. That of course should include all kinds of sexual hangups of the different races.
So yeah, boobies belong very much in EVE! Glorious FF with inbuilt micro-antigrav devices(sure is enough space in there ) to little mousebite ironing boards. The immortals shall have all the boobs that damn well please them.
Alas CCP¦s Icelanidc mores have robed us of the truly epic "designs", so we are making due with what the PC feministas allow us to have.

But hey, if I can win over you by flashing some space barbie skin, I'd do that.
Like I said...dont take my original comment too literally. My point is that the way character creation is going, immersion is moving more and more away from the original concept of the EVE races. Then again, it may be CCP's intention to re-do the way we view EVE races...I dont know. For now they look more like Earth residents than EVE residents.
No, Im not turned on by computer made cleavage any more than i was by the pleasure hubs..yet CCP removed them due to the game's rating I believe. This may be no different in the long run.
But worthwhile enough to make a ****post about the moral decay and collapse in all players playing space barbie, so we all know just how much it really bothers you.
(and the races in the game are descendents of the human colonists that went through the wormhole prior to its collapse so it would be rather odd if they didn't look human-ish)

Not if you've read The Empyrean Age novel, Otro Gariushi's first scene is him banging three Gallente escort girls at once. --- There are two sides to the EVE community; those that scream for change and those that scream against it. Often they are the same person. |

Good question.
I have yet to find a culture that finds bare chested men offensive or shameful in any way.
The same can not be said for women. Whereas topless women are accepted in certain cultures, it is not as globally accepted as bare chested men are.

So what are you saying? Are you saying that CCP is giving in to sexism, and by doing so discriminating against women over men illegally by supporting this gender bias? Am I understanding you correctly?

Ultimately what Im saying is that if CCP removed pleasure hubs (which I thought were harmless) due to ratings issues, they will eventually have to look at the avatar creation process and determine if the same rules apply with scantidly clad avatars.
My pet peeve is the whole race distintion thing. I guess I'm too much of a RP player. I look at avatars in the forum and ingame now and I cant tell one race from another anymore. It just doesnt feel like EVE anymore. It feels more like some random shopping mall instead.

Perhaps we'll get racial clothes for AUR? After all it was the unique clothes, accessoires and hairstyles that made it it easy to distinguish between races (it was for the hairstyles that I picked Khanid and Vherokior when making my mains - how dumb of me!! ) ..
But well even though it's a pity it's also logical that immortal pilots that mix and meet eventually change their looks and behaviour. Being immortal and independent there's hardly any social control or punishment from their relatives. Imagine you're 100s of years old and all your mortal family has died.
And of course, the vast majority of players doesn't care about races or lore or RP, they just want to look hot (female chars) or tough (male chars).

Except that the site you linked further down states that sexual assaults are down 60% since 1993.
Interesting coincidence that 60% of assaults are not even reported either. 60% equates to literally Millions

Yeah, you have a point there. Compared to the old avatars, there just isn¦t the big aha moment anymore. Baldy Alice Cooper lookalike, ah, a Sebiestor. Etc.
It¦s much subtler now. And the biggest distinction was through the outfits anyway. And I fear THAT will get solved when the Incarna Aurum shop opens up. ______________ Mal-¦Appears we got here just in a nick of time. What does that make us?¦ Zoe-`Big damn heroes, sir.` Mal-¦Aint we just.¦ |

Actually I saw a Crime Channel doco on that, it wasn't sexual assault , but physical abuse, I found it intriguing, but it definitely does happen.

This is just unholyà.
Well anyway with most character portraits you do not get the "captain of a vast ship with a crew of thousands" idea. Maybe captain of a small ship with an even smaller crew. For the sake of immersion it would be best to tune down the "options" a little bità DJ

Then where's all the fancy officer's uniforms? Leather coats, tank tops, vests and 7 of 9 like tight shirts don't really make me think "high ranking responsible officer" either.

That's what the new Aurum store is for! Seriously though I'm pretty sure they had atleast one snazzy captain's uniform in there. I'll go check.

There were a couple impressive outfits like the Commandant's overcoat thingy, but they're male only for some reason.

That also dosnt take into account men who have been sexualy assaulted by animals aswell, they're 78% less likely to be taken seriously.
Unless CCP get their act together and limit the riskay material it publishes we're only going to see alot more of this sort of thing in the future, there is no exuse for promoting sexual assault.

I think there is a real risk in this. If a station makes me feel like i am visiting habbo hotel i will be really disappointed. On the plus side i can't wait to strap on a aliens style motion tracker and go visit a rouge drone hive or a Gurista's hideout. But then again, only in star track does a captain do his own missions.

Also, those who shout the loudest about others' sexual opinions, say.... something like... insulting someone who sees a fairly realistic computer model as hot, are usually those with the greatest secrets of all.
