inb4 eve has sound, and inb4 there's no sound in space!
I'm sure most of you are permanently on teamspeak or mumble servers constantly exchanging intel, smacktalking issuing fleet orders etc...
But I spend a lot of time with the eve jukebox open, playing the eve soundtrack on random constantly, with the sound turned slightly down so I can hear voicecomms alright, I also have the turret noises turned up so when I zoom in to my ship I can hear them rain down glorious death!
But I'm starting to be of the opinion that the music/sound in eve is becoming dated, and for a lot of those people that play eve with sound... monotonous...
I started a thread about this a while back saying eve needed more bass in its sounds and that they're too "treble-y" for things as massive as spaceships!
CCP! for the next patch, can we have a bit of focus on the revamping of music and sound effects?! I love what I was hearing in the incarna log in screen video on youtube, so more of this please!!!
(this doesn't mean we should get rid of the old soundtrack, just have it as a different playlist in the jukebox,)
Also: inb4 anyone saying I should add my own music to the jukebox! that'd ruin the immersion! -------

I want to see complete voice-overs for all NPC communications. Agents, missions, CONCORD customs agents, factions navies, etc.
Would add a nice level of immersion.

That would actually be kinda cool.
While were at it.... add more special effects. For example, activaiting my afte burner, could I please notice a differnce in my thrusters.

That afterburner effect and voiceovers would be amazing! Adding sounds to the activation of different modules (mute-able of course), I just find my immersion in the game flagging at the moment and one of the things that could be done is an extensive aesthetic overhaul.
I realise that's what ccp are trying to achieve but two or three new ship models (scorp, maller, noctis) in a year just simply isn't quick enough! These new models and new turrets have been/will be my favorite new features in game. Over P.I. CQ etc... And new sounds will complement this!
(Bring back aura... And her friends!) -------

I agree, the sound effects do sound like they belong in an older game (yeah, I know EVE is old, but, you know what I mean). And after playing something like Team Fortress 2, or Battlefield BC2, the sounds in EVE sound downright pitiful in comparison. I want my railguns to have some serious bang to them!
Voices for the agents would be ok, but I would put revamped sound effects as a priority over that.
