It is really annoying to press one shortcut 5 times to be accepted, 50x time my ship goes away without orbiting on locked ship, now i press it 5x times to be sure, drones too 55x times to press SHIFT-R to be accepted, interface is too slow, overwiev sometime has delay and showing ships what are wracked already in gray, wtf CCP are doing with game? And it will be nice to see local time in left corner where is EVE time, why is impossible to put there EVE time and local time? Many improvements it is important that stupid INCARNA and GADGETS ....

Edited by: Gillaboo on 07/06/2011 12:15:06 Since devs are watching.....
I would really like to see a simple clickable icon added to pilot portraits to indicate "AFK" status, at least in some channels such as Corp channels, private convo's and private channels.
I believe something to this effect actually ranked reasonably high in that last "open source" poll that the CSM conducted...
thank you.

Is it hard to take the EVE time and then +/- "number" to get local time ? "number" changes only once per year or is it twice ...nevermind...
Anyway its glorious to see same comments over and over again every downtime...

The day CCP gets the degree of "professionalism" people demand, EVE will get the degree of professionalism you guys hate in other MMOs.
We start by the basics: - If professionals were deciding about downtimes and server-side issues, they would instance EVE servers, both eliminating "EVE 100% downtime" if they wanted, and cutting costs. Goodbye "EVE is one universe for all players". - If professionals were deciding about expansion/patches ratio, they would tend to tedious content expanded once or twice per year, if that much, to have less bugs to take care of. Also would limit more the numbers of choices players have in following skill progress, gameplay, and so on, because professionals know that allowing users that kind of freedom is a PITA, because: THEY COMPLAIN about the things they want being done or being allowed to be done. - If professionals were deciding the dinamics of the game, they would never allow ISK conversion from real money or ISK bought gametime, because it is just not professional. - IF professionals were deciding the way the players are handled, they wouldnt mind at all to make a dumb smashing keyboard game because if half of the world's population died, there will be still more than half its population compoosed of stupid people who likes to play games where you dont need to think.
I like the passionate way EVE is done, and to see that the enthusiasm CCP put in EVE makes it sometimes crappy, but still let it be the unique MMO it is.
The day CCP start to be the level of professional MMO developer major TV advertising MMO developers are, is the day it will be the same crap those are.
When EVE have no more incidental bugs from new features, no single feature deployed prematurely, and no "lets try this and see where it goes", and, EVE has Jean-Claude Camille Frantois Van Varenberg advertising in the TV "Je suis le capsule pilote ...", then it isnt EVE anymore.
agree.

it's been asked again and again by players, and would really be a small nice helping feature to alot players:
- could you please place a CLOCK with the actual EVE TIME on the LOGINSCREEN? I don't know why you're keep going to ignore this, really.
pretty please with a cherry on the top thx
I'll see what I can do
Cripes! Don't do that - it will take CCP at least a year and 20 patches to undo the damage caused by that UI change!

The "Ghost" issue is related to the sticky-ctrl issue. Theoretically fixing that will alleviate this problem.
Oh, interesting. I was unaware of the relationship. The odd thing is that I saw very little ghosting on my PvP toon (that experiences a ton of CTRL-clicking) and moreso on the alt that is not involved in any CTRL-clicking activities.
Anyways, time will tell on the fix.
It should also fix the approach issue for alt-tabbers. If the alt key sticks then when you alt-tab back to your other player then you have a 'stuck alt key' + one mouse click = approach. {WC}PistolPete "...going to take a lot of fireworks to clean this place up..." Homer Simpson |

When someone leaves Eve for WoW, it raises the average player intelligence of both games.

I kind of liked the ctrl sticking and locking ships then pressing ctrl again to stop locking ships thing. didn't have any other problems. except moving items from my ships cargo bay moved the cargo bay window as well. lol
I like paying for updates to a nice game. Thanks for updating it I don't mind downtimes either cause I know we need them. even tho it's during my primetime.

If suggestions are being taken from here, I'd really like to see DT start moved by half an hour per day every day, so the affect can hit everyone equally. In forty-eight days, you're back where you were.
The double-server idea gets my thumbs up, though - could minimise DT.
Other than that, I like the look of this update. If it's not apparent, I do like the work the devs do on this game.
As to the rap video, that's one of the funniest things I've seen in a while.

Um yeah, because holding the ctrl-key down was hard.
Plus it was a great benefit to ctrl-click a target then try and orbit a gate and get a bonus lock on the stargate. It's very handy to randomly target structures you don't want to shoot at.
/facepalm
Here's hoping they at least fixed the ctrl-key to work like a meta key again too instead of having to lift it and re-press it for every different hotkey it is assigned to.

I would like to "like" this post, but those forums don't permit it, so I'll quote it instead.

There is one answer keep up with Tech stop trying to budget build pc's and give DEV's the good tools to work with
3. but also backwards flying TECH III omg someone should get a slap for that one :)
I get it now. Everyone's computers went to **** during patch time. It's not CCP's fault at all.
In the rest of the software world: Installing something that breaks your computer/application is followed by an uninstall.
I'm still waiting for CCP to replace my GeForce 7950GS that they blew up years ago with bad graphic programming. A fault that they admiited to on the forum. {WC}PistolPete "...going to take a lot of fireworks to clean this place up..." Homer Simpson |

I so hope that it is wrong ..but i had to uninstall last patch just to be able to play cause of that ctrl bull...anyways tired of the constant patches and downtime this is what first made me want to leave several other mmo's

Stop whining. What is International, everyone outside Iceland? So the U.S., European, African, Middle Eastern players are all being discriminated against. Downtime is placed to minimise disruption to the majority of EVE players. I presume you are an Australian or NZ player and so will represent a tiny proportion of players. Get over it.
Before you ask, yes I'm Australian as well. I just don't have an infantile attitude.

I was just about to post the exact same thing. I bug reported this and the response was that the issue is known. I had expected a fix for this in 1.6.1. Why is it not there?

I dunno what yall are complaining about for the "more than one account crash" or "alt-tab crash". I run 3 accounts, 2 minimized for the majority of the time, on a gaming laptop and I have no problems.
Glad to see the keys no longer being stuck. It sucked to accidentally click on a fleetmate while Control was bugged.

Total noob here. Picked up Eve to play in my work breaks and for the last four weeks there has been major down time every other day. Servers still responding "The cluster is not currently accepting connections".
Am I being impatient, or is Eve going through a rough patch?
