Greetings fellow capsulers. I am sure most of you have spotted my positive inputs on a few of the recent discussions. Anyways, I am sure an introduction is in order. I am known as Kentt Em'asep, a Matari frigate pilot.
A little about my past, I have never set foot on the Minmatar homeworld, as I have always lived up in space. Was born while my parant's vessel was out around the wormholes as they charted the surrounding areas. We were part of a sub clan made up of various people of largely different heritages, whom all shared common goals and ideas. I at least know I am Matari because both of my parants were indeed that. For about... 5 or so years the clan has been separated with everyone deciding it was time to go in separate ways. So can't really say on their status.
But yea, I lived out there my whole life, around 29 years. My education is from the ship's computer and it's massive historical library, which I had downloaded into my own ship I have today. My skill in flying, I learned the hard way. Never been at any of the official schools. But I know mostly all there is about flying the small Matari ships, as well as some minor Gallente stuff. How I got my pod folks can figure that out later.
Soon I hope to fix my ship's connection as my face does not seem to appear. But I can assume that might just be because I have been out in the middle of nowhere for a long time.
Hope to get to know you all.

If that is a positive hello, then so do I as such meetings will be educational for the both of us. If it is not, then I hope your targeting systems will be able to target things as small as marbels, as that will be what it might be like.
Otherwise, same here. Looking forward to running into alot of you folks, along with everyone else. ----

Empty space works, as no one would be out there anyways. If there are others out there, they usually are there with piratey intentions. In that can, it is somewhat like politics, where you have to use your quick talking skills to either buy time to warp away, or to arrange to buy your way out if you are caught. Lucky, I run as a ship such as mine does not do well under fire. Other then those, it gets lonely awfully fast. But if I do find somewhere else, I'll let you know heh.

Pirate-y intentions I'm familiar with, though these days I tend to be falling asleep to the drone of mining lasers or the chirp of core-probes. Though admittedly I am rather pleased with my scanning research - you start the find that empty space isn't as empty as you first thought it was.
Guess I'm saying most of these feeds are like an interactive textbook on politics and religion, and as my studies are already filled with stings like astrometric aquisition, I would prefer lighter discussions. Can't seem to find any sort of place like that though, at least on the official feed.
If I'm coming off as a little more unrefined than others around here it's likely because I am. You sort of start to lose any polish they splash onto you at the academy after clocking so many hundreds of hours being exposed to dirty jokes in mining ops, and from reading around I start to get the impression I was raised a little differently than the norm myself.
So how did you aquire your pod, anyway? It's a big decision to make regardless.

Heh, reading is always good. I have always enjoyed it as long as it did not put me asleep as you say you mining lasers do. I don't do any mining myself, but I might in the future once I get more familiar with it all to bring at least some profit to my table. So far it has been from small time folks who need bandits killed and such. So all in all I am a small gun for hire I guess.
My pod huh? I am foggy at the details, but it was my Father's. I had trained previously with the help of a simulator on board our ship. I would not have been surprised if it had once served within one of the universities. They wished me to serve as a backup pilot in case the worst case scenario occurred. I accepted as I loved the concept of flying. I unfortunately got the position. The ship was not flyable though.
As for my real age, yea I guess 2 years your time might be what had passed since I was born. I was unable to save the data gathered by the original ship, so I am not sure how much wormholes we even went through to give any accurate calculations. ----

Have you tried killing things? Corpse collections make a great conversation starter. Or you can talk to the corpses. I can't heal stupid

I think conversations with dead guys will be fairly one sided unless your hobbies included drugs and pills. If you had any good conversations with any, I am sure they would be entertaining stories.
If she wishes to take that up, that is defiantly her choice. I doubt I would though heh. ----

Edited by: Arista Shahni on 13/06/2011 05:04:03 I actually have tried killing things! I retired though. Complicated story. To be honest I actually prefer the quieter Empire life. Hey. Someone has to fill the niche.
Besides, we're a mining company, we don't sell biologics. Corpse retrieval in space was someone else's cup of tea if I'm remembering my rumor-sheets right... or it could have just been a piece of fiction. These days the news and fantasy aren't far apart anyway.
Kennt; An interesting thing to inherit from the family, to be sure. I only got a necklace and a tendency to wax philosophical when left out of atmospere filtered sunlight for too long from my parents.

Edited by: Caviar Liberta on 13/06/2011 09:34:12 Hello Kentt if it would be ok for me to address you by your first name. *looking around* I have something to share with you *reaches over and inserts a holovid in a vid player, fade screen to a scene of a matari man in his mid 30's addressing a large crowd*
Hear me! It is true, what many of you have heard. The machines have gathered an army and as I speak, that army is drawing nearer to our home.
Believe me when I say we have a difficult time ahead of us. But if we are to be prepared for it, we must first shed our fear of it. I stand here, before you now, truthfully unafraid. Why? Because I believe something you do not? No, I stand here without fear because I remember. I remember that I am here not because of the path that lies before me but because of the path that lies behind me. I remember that for 100 years we have fought these machines. I remember that for 100 years they have sent their armies to destroy us, and after a century of war I remember that which matters most... We are still here! Today, let us send a message to that army, that we are not afraid and we are still here!
*the screen fades back to Caviar Liberta*
I hope you enjoyed that as much as I did the first time I watched it.

Ah yes, Kentt is fine. I have no problem being called by my first name. Many do that. As for the video, aye, I indeed enjoyed it. *nods smiling*

I would just encourage you to make sure the computers are set up correctly.. I notice your systems still aren't sending an image. In the event of a podbreach things could get terminal if there is some confusionas to where to send the snapshots.
I assume your local cloning facilities would have all of that handled already, hopefully, but something to best be sure of with inherited tech.
Best of luck in your journeys. I likely spent a touch too much time working for the Amarr Navy and the Theology Council to ever run across you in your local space, but certainly, I wish you well from here.

Ah yes, that has been an issue for quite awhile unfortuently. Hopefully I can get it repaired and situated in a few months time. Just image an oriental guy with long dark hair hehe.
