This surely must have been suggested before but damned if I can find mention of it.
Okay, so as a brand new player I like doubtless many of you wandered around a little lost and after being led from the tutorials towards running missions ended up doing random missions and blowing up convoys of god knows how many corps while working out what exactly I wanted to do in the game.
All well and good but I'm now left with lots of pointless but crucial little standings, a 0.02 here, a -0.16 there, which obviously creates a problem when searching for the right corp with jump clones you won't ruin, a hard enough task without that complication.
So I'd like to propose a new LP Store reward whereby players could pay to have their standings (and spare LP) removed and reset to completely neutral.
For obvious reasons this would not effect faction standings and wouldn't be available for purchase should your standings be below 0. Quite how much it would cost is for people with more knowledge of game balance than me to say.
So there we go, please feel free to shoot it down in flames

What would be the point of this? If I understand correctly, I would need to grind up enough LP with a corp to buy it, and that LP would then be used to undo the grinding I had just done for that corp?

Edited by: Good Reverend Ix on 12/06/2011 15:30:44 Pretty much. It sounds counter intuitive but without access to Level 4 agents such grinding takes ages and many corps won't accept you until you're at the required standings (albeit they could offer to help but if you're just a random looking for a home there's little incentive, especially for large/busy corps). And when you extend this to consider that some corps have multiple jump clone corps to cover various regions it can quickly become a horrific grind. Trust me, I'm doing it now
Thinking it'd be a fairly low level reward achievable with poorer agents but high enough that it'd require a little effort of the players part, say 5000 or something.
It's an reward of niche appeal admittedly but then many are and I really think it's useful for those who find themselves in similar situations.
