Hi, Am putting together a small corp about 10 people, who once we have finished abit of training and fun stuff will be looking to rent 1-2 systems in 0.0.
Will be mainly just there to have fun.
Need to know the best alliances to contact, best experience from renters (If I rent a piece of space I don't expect to get demands for CTA involvement or treated like 3rd class space, not saying I won't get involved in pvp etc, I love it but our choice)
So who are the best landlords out there in 0.0 ?

dont want to be bothered by CTAs eh?...so when your system is invaded you wont be expecting any support either right? Sounds to me like you should contact the goons...wrong forum too.

AAA Citizens is a legitimate renter alliance. Costs a couple bil a month or something. Indy corp I was in gave up because all they could do is work work work for rent and recruit everyone they could get their hands on that could fly retriever or higher. Soon the system is maxed out and full of people and there's no where to go except rent another system and do it again.
Good luck though. Look into the alliance you are thinking about renting from before giving them any money! Not all "renters" actually rent systems.

Your stay will be a brief one my friend Renters join CTAs, or they're out faster than you can say "null sec nerf".

ATLAS (old ATLAS) renters were not required to join CTAs but many did anyway. Yet they still died.

Decided to update my progress on this front and reply to a couple of comments.
Currently renting from Shadow of xXDeathXx been with them for about 6 weeks now.
Actually it has been a really fun experience, not only is the renting system very professional they have english speaking contacts to deal with all of the rental stuff if needed no politics just business.
We started by gaining F-WZYG and doing all those things I wanted to try like putting up a pos, tcu and ihub, made some small mistakes but spent 99% of my time before this doing pvp so a learning experience.
Formed a pretty good indie side and began churning out T1 ships was suprised that every damn T1 ship from a frigate to a carrier only needs ore to make and one thing the dronelands has huge amounts of is ore both in the drone alloys and asteroids.
So we built alot of T1 equipment, ships (from rifters to canes) made our own rigs and have about 200+ pvp ready ships to just jump in to.
Moved out of F-W to a different system and scattered our combat ships around the main stations of the regions.
Kinda proud of my friends new to EVE but handling 0.0 pretty well, teaching them all the basics hope to start taking roams out for fun pew pew and exploration and the trust of being in my own corp with only real life friends who most have known each other for 8+ years is priceless.
Having no problems keeping up with rent and keeping people occupied these are people new to eve every experience even blowing up a drone is fun.
Lost a few ships due to accidents and learning lol but all good fun.
Looking forward to meeting new friends and new people to pew pew with or against.
Fly safe everyone :)

Yes I understand this is a strange post for newbie forum but like alot of players I had before this six week period never fueld a pos, never built one, delt with sov, owned a system, used an ihub or ratted/built items and salvaged for manufacture.

To me that always seemed like the whole point of renting...

I waited for 6 weeks before posting to this thread for a very good reason, all our ships/rigs/modules are built fitted and insured industrial side is now winding down, it was never about getting a free ride or about making an income from 0.0 I mean really dronelands is not the best place to go if you want to make a quick profit.
This was about exploring a side to EVE I had only experienced as an FC and grunt in a few major alliances across the universe, to see if it is possible for a small corp to enjoy 0.0, it was about becoming self sufficient in T1 ships/rigs/modules and ammo, it was about finding out for myself whether all the racial/negative spin by certain alliances was true, I have made new friends over here in the DRF, realised that most of the shadow of xXdeathXx are fun people to be around and I have not seen one botter yet, the russian players from my own personal experience these last 6 weeks are good people and it was about me personally exploring a side of eve I had never touched the whole indi/pos/sov side.
Stage two of my plan for world domination :P begins this weekend. Cutting the teeth of everyone in corp on pvp, from gate camps to covert ops and roams, fun will be had, explorations made and people will be poked :) drinking games will be explored!
I finally get to FC as I always wanted to instead of what an alliance or corp leader told me too crazy psychotic plans of ship blowinz up will happen and just maybe some of them ships won't be ours.
Already I have drilled into corpmates heads the very real mantra of "if you undock in a ship class it as lost, accept that it is lost, fight like you have nothing to loose and if you make it home in a ship it is a bonus"
Fly safe all and kudos to anyone we meet on the field of battle.

There's also "hai guys, I want to pay you a crapton of ISK to allow me to sit in space you aren't using anyway". Rentig can be beneficial to both parties.
OP: good luck, you seem to be getting the hang of it! ---

Exactly and I have never understood the basis of the hatred of renters, if a person rents a system from you, actually pays money usually between 200m-1b per week or month that group is giving you money to buy your pvp ships and ammo, yes they may be carebears but they are paying you fighting money :)
Most renters I have seen in Dronelands actually will fit some pvp ships and help out if they can. Just remember they rent from you and thus need to rat/plex to pay you.
Personally I love pvp, happily addicted to it and looking forward to getting back into it, I love everything from pos bashing (pretty pretty light show) to fleet to solo but that does not mean I will disrespect renters.
