Eveyone knows the trick
Alliance gets wardeced carebear corp quits alliance to avoid it, rejoins when they get decced again etc etc - Also used to allow time for Corp to repair up a POS if it is attacked (deemed the 'imune' an exploit btw)
I think it would be appropriate to add in a cool-down timer for corps when they quit/are kicked an alliance. A 7 day cool-down timer would suffice.
keep the 24 hr timer for joining an alliance but I think once you quit, or you are kicked from an alliance you shouldn't be able to re-apply to another alliance for a week.
Any thoughts on this? and if you are reading this you have reached the signature without noticing. |

Yeah, I have a thought. It's a waste of time. Corp leaves - and oh no they're decced again. So people leave corp and continue on with their business til hostility subsides a week later. Everyone rejoins. The end.
The truth is you'll have to accept that sometimes disruption without kills is the best you can hope for in high sec wardeccing.

Just like empire griefers can get around CONCORD by using a wardec, carebears can get around wardecs by dropping corp/alliance for the duration of the wardec. Deal with it.
If you want to guarantee that you can shoot somebody, go to nullsec - CONCORD and wardecs are irrelevant there.

Edited by: Mograph on 15/06/2011 12:32:41 I have no problem with a corp leaving an alliance to avoid the dec. or a player leaving a corp to avoid the Dec
If the intended target is the alliance then a corp leaving is a victory, you have weakened their ranks. If the intended target is a Corp then a player Leaving is a Victory
If your intended target is a particular corp within an alliance then the corp can just hop in and out of an alliance every 24hrs basically making them imune to a game mechanic.
Corp A Wardecs Alliance B to kill Corp C Corp C Immediatly leaves Alliance B Corp A Wardecs Corp C Corp C Immediatly Joins Alliance D Corp Z Wardecs Alliance D to get at corp X ............ For ever and Ever!
So there needs to be a Cooldown timer so Corp C cannot join alliance B after 1 day. and if you are reading this you have reached the signature without noticing. |

Even if you got exactly what you're asking for here it wouldn't solve the problem. The smarter bears would just create an alt corp full of their alts with no affiliation aside from maybe some station trades between the two. When war dec rolls in, log off, log on other toons - wardec evaded.
You can't FORCE people to commit to being targets, which is what you're really asking CCP to provide. --Vel

TBH I was angry that a corp used an exploit to repeatedly rep a POS in high sec and this proposal will stop people using this exploit. (I know it was an exploit as we were granted a 300million isk Re-imbursment from CCP as we had to continually keep paying to dec allianced they joined in order to kill the POS) we petitiond and Senior GM confirmed it as an exploit
