Hi 0/
I know i have seen it here before, but i cant seem to find it now, so i ask for your help What i want is to train up a few hi-sec gankers to solo-gank Hulk's and Retrievers. A tempest is the likely choice (?). BUT, is there a skillplan out there available for starter-chars?
I am using EVE-mon and have set up "a" skillplan, but im not familiar with Minnies and hence im not sure wether the skillplan i got is any good or not (to much skills/to few?).
A link to such a skillplan would be much apreciated

This really.
A catalyst will take out an untanked mining ship quite easily.
You will also need weapons upgrades and possible AWU to fit all 8 guns. If you have ISK to burn on a gank ship, use meta 4 blasters, faction antimatter ammo, and 3 mag stabs in the lows.
Grab EFT and start playing around

So ure suggesting a catalyst? Would that give enough punch to pop a Hulk before Concord arrives?

Of course not,
Hulks have far, far more hp than Retrievers so depending on their setup it's very hard to gank Hulks. The builds people are proposing are meant to group gank exhumers.

phew..
Now, i am talking about solo-ganking ALL kinds of exhumers, including Hulk. Sorry if my first post did not illustrate that. So then i am back to believing a minnie-path to Tempest (due to alpha ive been told) would be a good choice.
So a "tempest-gank-fit-skillplan" would be much appreciated..

Suicide ganking hulks is immature assinine griefing. Why is this still popular? I swear it seems that half of the people playing EvE are 12 year old playground bully types.

It's like cow-tipping. Only these cows drop ore and expensive modules. And you end up paying more to replace your ship afterwards because you just pushed mineral prices that bit higher.

You need to do about 10,000 damage to destroy the typical un-tanked Hulk (99.99999999%)
It is impossible to tank a Mackinaw.
Artillery Thrasher are popular. Battleships with smartbombs for larger ops.

Dont plan to throw them away at all..
I am making new alts for duration purposes, but in the process i want to gank some of our enemies in a hi-sec pocket where they are hiding from us.
And please, to all those who post that ganking in hi is immature.. This is not hellokittyonline. This is EVE!
But to put your fragile minds to rest, they have ganked our Hulks too.
Thanks to those who answered the question.

My (always!) tanked Hulk has got 25k EHP. Good luck to bring that alpha with a single ship (highsec). If you find hulks with civilian shield boosters fitted, they deserve to die.

Tanked Hulks are very rare beasts (maybe just ours?). Just look at the Hulkageddon killboard.

The first hulk i was looking at the KB at least had a bit of a tank fitted (only one empty med slot), while the next two did¦nt fit a tank at all (empty midslots). Did¦nt look further. As i said before, imo they deserved to die.

Sure you *can* do it. But it really worth something?! The ore will be what, low-end ore? Worth what, even if the cargo is full 2-3m maximum. (assuming you can haul it after you ganker-ship is destroyed by Concord... as you said you plan to do it solo?) So the only benefit would be the ship equipment, right? Stripminers and a few cargo expanders? Is it worth losing a ship with equipment on it, on something which can turn into a total fiasco if the Hulk manage to tank you? - Yann Xonogoth |

Besides, i think ganking l4 missionrunners will get you more tears, not that i condone it, but suiciding miners just seems like going in to a kindergarden and bashing away until SWAT takes you out.

I've salvaged a hulk once. Got 3 Intact Armor Plates. Of course I was lucky but just saying it's possible.

If you consider strip miners and some shield modules as expensive loot.. then you doing something very wrong in this game..

Can't post the killmail or the link. But i am sure if you looked for my name on Battleclinic you could find at least 4 hulks i solo ganked that were untanked. Tempest does not have enough highslots. It's bonus is rate of fire. Use a ship with more high slots with arty for alpha. Battleclinic. You don't gank high-sec miners for money, dear boy. You do it for the reaction.

Tempest has both a rate of fire and raw damage bonus. All else being equal, it will out-alpha a 1400-fit armageddon provided you have at least minmatar battleship 4. You can still outdamage it with an apoc, though.

Well, if you've been on EVE for any length of time then you should know the answer.
1. Load as much firepower on a cheap frig or destroyer that you can pile on.
2. Lock on to target and let her rip..
3. Start counting..1..2..3...4..and see how far you can count before Concorde smokes you.
See..simple.

Never ganked exhumers but I feel inspired to do it now...
