Originally by: Indorian What I want to know is, how do people manage to buy a computer with a graphics card SO BAD it is useless in a year? Did you guys really not do your research? or were you scammed? If you were scammed, I should let you know I plan on quitting eve very soon, just sent me any amount of isk and I will double it and send it back to you FREE OF CHARGE!
No I wasn't 'scammed', my son brought me the computer after my wife died. Eve has been great fun and none of my corpmates cared that I was old.
So maybe my only 'crime' was not being 20 anymore eh? And I might be old but I'm not stupid, so I'll pass on your scam. Thank you :)

AH Hmm - I don't recall asking for this (or wanting it either)
Independent of you asking for it, you agreed to it. Section 10, topic D, subsection iii of your EULA you agreed to in order to play the game.

But I didn't want to buy this expansion. I liked the game the way it was.... Futhermore, we pay a monthly subscription so this patch isn't free. We must continue to subscribe, whereas other games where I can buy the disk and choose to purchase expansions I want or don't want.
And it is actually pretty logical. I am paying for play time. Due to CCP failure we are unable to play for a period of time that we paid for. In the real world if I give you money and you don't deliver a satisfactory good or service you refund the money. Please explain to me why that shouldn't apply to CCP?
And to you I would like to point out the earlier mentioned entry in combination with section 12, paragraph 3. Yes you have paid for play time, but obviously written in the EULA it indicates that th eservice is available most of the time and states that it will not always be available. If you feel you are not getting your money's worth you are free to stop playing. People really need to understand what they agree to and stop whining.

ROFL, there are some seriously funny comments in this thread.
I didn't want this, so I should get a refund for downtime. Here's your 48 cents back for the downtime. Oh wait, that's right, most people with 1/2 a cell left in there brain can read the EULA and they get there answer instantly. There are those who choose to educate themselves in this world, and there are those who choose to walk blindly.
I just bought my PC and now CCP won't buy me a new computer because I was too cheap or too dumb to buy a good PC to begin with. And CCP had the nerve to tell me to go away when I complained.
This stuff is too good. HAHAHAHAHHAHAHA Please keep posting, I need something funny to continue reading during the downtime.

Ok, the heck with you folks complaining about downtime, I just want to make sure my updates are compatible. I tried to log in today and it said "Incompatible Version"..no problem, so i did what everyone else does, go look up the latest patch right. Wrong, it wouldnt let me do it, nor does it acknowledge that I was puting it in the right folder. Whats up with that?,,some feedback would be nice right about now, thanks. KiMEL Ki' |

-1 because you actually READ the EULA... Nobody reads those things...
Besides, let me quote another documentation from this same website: "EVE Online: Incarna 1.0 is scheduled for deployment during an extended downtime on Tuesday, June 21. Downtime will begin at 07:00 UTC and is expected to be completed by 17:00 UTC." notice it says "17:00 UTC and NOT 19:00 UTC"...

Well Done CCP on your continued improvement of my Game, as a Player that started playing this game early in 2004, i have seen so much improvement to this game but there is still one thing that has failed to changed since then, that is the continued whinging and whining of people about every god darn patch or expansion that comes out, give it a rest. You people want to go play any other mmo and you will see that this game is and will remain one of the most stable, Lag controled and playable games there is avalible, but most of all the client softeware supplied free of charge and hopefully will remain so. Please CCP carry on the great work and please pass on my congratz to the dev team for a job well done Thankyou

Originally by: CCP Spitfire EVE Online: Incarna 1.0 is scheduled for deployment during an extended downtime on Tuesday, June 21. Downtime will begin at 05:00 UTC and is expected to be completed by 19:00 UTC.
Incarna 1.0 features Captain's Quarters - the first step towards opening the interiors of space stations for players; the new graphics and animations for ship turrets; and the new Noble Exchange store offering new and exciting goods. The new players will now embark on their journey in EVE Online guided by completely revamped tutorials and the familiar voice of Aura, while the new agent finder and corporation recruitment tools will make life easier for all pilots.

Thank you drund, for being smarter that everyone else on this forum. If you people would shut up and understand that CCP is probably doing the best they can to get the update done as soon as possible. I'd bet if you werent posting all the hate comments, CCP would actualy answer some of our questions and let us know what's going wrong. Who knows, I'm betting it's not even their fault they probably had technical issues.
