Hmm so they will be monitoring economy effects? Lets hope they do better job at it this time then when they did moongoo shuffle. But i fully expect CCP to crap up this one too, they always do since they dont play the game theyre trying to manage.
If they would play, we would have such little things like science&industry interface fixed allready since some dev would have box full of dead mouses by now. Maybe they should hire same team that fixed PI interface to do it.

Looking forward to this, but I hope that the CQ "Loading" screen gets optimised out of existence at some point.
A "Disembark" button above the "Undock" button on the Neocom would be perfect.
EVE is changing, some things will be better, some perhaps not, others will merely be different. New Eden is moving into a very interesting phase, those who want to complain will, but I find this all very exciting!

CCP, I just looked at the Incana page countdown. It seems to not be counting down to Incarna, that is it will not reach zero at the time TQ is currently scheduled to be open for service with the expansion. Instead is seems to be counting down to midnight Monday, at which time the servers will be closed and there will be no Incarna yet.
Maybe you need to adjust your clock?

Dear CCP, I really hope you all don't take the cry-babies too seriously. After all, if you didn't have the coolest game out there, they would just quit playing right? Sick of reading post after post of people whining and foretelling doom and gloom every time you release a patch or upgrade.
I'm very excited about Incarna and look forward to CQ's

Heheh, finally, the expansion that I've waited for since before I started playing EVE hits TQ, and I'm to busy to enjoy it. Oh well, I guess it will be around when things become more quiet. And I get to let other people suffer/report the bugs.

Ok, so I just noticed that if your character is within a certain distance of the big center screen he/she will periodically turn his head to look at the screen unless you are standing with your back to the screen.
I dig it! Please make more of these non-controllable reactions of your character towards surrounding elements. It gives them much more personality when you cannot control everything about their movements.

To join in on the complaining, I'd like to be the first complainer to complain about those who complain about the complaints. I feel that this phenomenon of complaining is rooted in the same area as the "end of the world" claims, who complain that the future is inevitable. Now, I'm sure you'll complain that you've seen the future in the past, and therefore you know exactly what to complain about, but I'm not trying to argue - I'm just another complainer. You must also enjoy those prophecies of technology in the year 2000, or 2100, when claims of flying cars and adjustable telescope/microscope eyes with configurable computers and cell phone communication devices will be available. Not because it all sounds so cool, rather, it sounds so far-fetched that you will capitalize on your complaining skills in the year 2100 and complain that those prophecies were so far-fetched. I complain for being sucked into peer pressure, and writing my first complaining post.

You two need to read moar devblogs.
Originally by: Dev Blog For the sake of a smooth transition we therefore decided to temporarily add the option to not load the Incarna interiors while stilll retaining full access to all options and menus.
Have u tried that feature? It is a still image of the loading screen of the CQ enviroment. No hangar view after incarna if u don't want to see CQ...

So walking in the stations won't be out on june 21st? just the CQ?
sorry if that sounds a bit noobish, I haven't been following 110%
Ever since they said they renamed it from ambulation>walking in stations>then to Incarna.... they had me thinking that being able to open shops and walk arround on the stations promenade would be released in the first go arround.

Ok this is nice, I'll have to find the longest skills for my accounts, been through enough of these things to know its not smooth sailing in the beginning.
I can't wait to see the new chapter of EVE unfold, best game ever!
Word of advice to all, go outside the first few days, let the lemmings test it out first. I can't wait to read about it in the forum.

I guess all the whiners would prefer the game to remain as is for years without any expansions at all?
This is the first step to an interesting evolution, bringing the game to the next level. Don't like it? Buy a Nyx or an Aeon and remain in space forever... or maybe you are complaining behind the comfort of your keyboard because nobody ever listens to you in real life.

In first version (june 21st) there will only be Walking In CQ Alone, to test and fix this new technology. I think devs have said somewhere that public areas will be added later this year.

Are you being serious? I think you may need to actually read the dev blog you linked "moar". It even has the gist of it in the part of it you quoted.
They added a temporary option to disable CQ because they were having issues running multiple clients with CQ. The key word is temporary, as in opposite of permanent. I am "hoping to god" they have a permanent option to not load CQ upon dock. Why the hell would a pod pilot get out of his pod if he is just changing ships or getting ammo? Makes zero sense as far as "immersion" and makes it a hassle if you're simply docking for quick reasons like picking up ammo.

EVE Online: Incarna 1.0 is scheduled for deployment during an extended downtime on Tuesday, June 21. Downtime will begin at 05:00 UTC and is expected to be completed by 19:00 UTC.
Incarna 1.0 features Captain's Quarters - the first step towards opening the interiors of space stations for players; the new graphics and animations for ship turrets; and the new Noble Exchange store offering new and exciting goods. The new players will now embark on their journey in EVE Online guided by completely revamped tutorials and the familiar voice of Aura, while the new agent finder and corporation recruitment tools will make life easier for all pilots.
Nice stuff by the way .. but please CCP turn arround the T3 ships .. they flying backward also in incarna test server. If u can turn them arround again .. it would be one of the best expansions I guess.

Will we get a chance to touch up the body sculpting of our characters? After playing with a moving, walking character on Sisi, there are changes I'd like to make that didn't show up when sculpting the (almost) static mannequin on TQ.

The only problem I see with the inevitable requirement to De-Pod your self upon docking is the combat players. this could cause serious issues and effect fleet combat in low and null sec if they have to "Dock_walk to couch_mess with ship_un-dock" as most combat operations are about split seconds this could cause serious frustration. I would recommend make every one dock as normal then a right click option to allow them to leave ship. This would provide a few things. 1: stations in high traffic systems will not be bogged down as much 2: combat pilots will be able to dock change ships un dock as before. 3: docking and logging off will be much simpler and not cause a instance transfer of a character who is about to log off.
Seems like it would make more sense to me.
ccp please advise/.

Edited by: Emperor Messina on 18/06/2011 11:19:44 Improvements are always welcome, and this one is great!! *BUT* please don't even think of nerfing the game as World of Warcraft did, making it to total idiots only and screwing the old players. This game is awesome not only because of the graphics, but also because of the freedom and roleplaying. Point is, changing the graphics to "humanize" the toons may bring many many new people and please CCP don't feel seduced to make the game easier for them.

Captains quarters, walking in stations... whatever next, strolling down the shopping mall returning to your quarters and making babies? The sims meet eve. Personally I like a spaceship game and dont see any need to further encourage people to stay in the stations

Hmmmm - CCP im sorry guys but, CQ is not a big deal. Something better could have been done, example of something good that you guys are releasing, is the new turret designs and animations. I was hoping for something more on line with POS or High SEC POS or capitals in high Sec or Some new mining materials or something :/ but Kudos to you guys, this is the best Space MMO :)
