Lately, I have been wondering why the players are allowed to dock in enemy militia stations. If you come near these stations the guns will target you and engage' but if you want to dock and get out and top off your ammo, maybe repair your ship, stretch your legs, get a drink on the promenade, even pick up an exotic dancer... no problem. It doesn't really make sense to me that the militia stations are in fact giving aid and comfort to their enemies.

You have a really good point, I didn't know that this could happen. I don't understand why it does either, I have been agressed by PC canflippers, docked and then been warned that if I undocked there may be people who intend me violence and I may not be able to dock again.
If I "may not be able to dock again" and I am a loyal citizen of the Republic, why then are those who are sworn to do ill to the Republic allowed to dock at all?
You should only be allowed to dock if you're not at war with the local Sov's Militia.

Edited by: Sebastion Heorod on 18/06/2011 01:00:48 I think it could taking even further then that. Right now FW plexing is mainly for bragging rights and standing. Maybe instead of system occupancy being rather meaningless for anything other then prestige we could instead have it determine thinks like militia station docking rights, also the control of station and gate guns. Occupancy could even determine navy spawns like the ones that occur in hisec, but without the heavy neut, web, cloak blocking action.
These changes would give mission runners a reason to become more involved in the pvp side of factional warfare. Want to keep using that nice high paying agent? Well you had better defend your system.
Wouldn't it be nice if the militia activities actually had a tangible effect on something.

So the only point to FW is to lengthen one's e-peen?
That makes it all seem rather silly, you'd think that there would be some reward other than that, maybe something like the rewards for Incursions or a clone of the mechanic used for Incursions.
I just think that the militia sounds like a waste of time now.....

The reward for doing militia is large lp rewards and access to the militia lp store that has some choice faction gear at half price. My previous post was refering to fational warfare scannable complexes.

So what must you do to gain those Militia LP? Still, you would think that the scanable complexes would be where the real rewards were....

I wholeheartedly support this, I personally think that it is a bs exploit that members of an enemy militia can dock while "behind enemy lines"
I was just discussing this in the militia channel (Matari) the other day. I think it would be the first logical step in a full revamp of FW.
