I have a better idea. Why don't we give more monopolies to sov null alliances to farm and break Eve economy in the process.

I would accept ice removed from HS on 2 conditions: 1) ice belts added to WHs in the same distribution as null (being scanned only though, not static). 2) ice mining made much much less time consuming and mind numbing.

Well thats not what I meant, I edit though :). But that would be very cool, especially for me :)! Low sec would actually have a real main purpose.
And that main purpose would be: ganking all the toothless and defenseless Machinaws. Mack pilots would become a thing of the past..as they could not be defended in low.. and there would be no place to mine in high.
Removing ice belts in high sec..? You might as well remove macks too; they have no tank. Why do you think they are such a popular suicide target in high sec?
Moving the ice is a dumb idea.

Edited by: Mara Rinn on 20/06/2011 07:45:28 I would prefer to see ice moved to grav sites, full stop. Remove the static belts (all static belts), tune the spawn rate to allow the "appropriate" amount of X to be spawned and harvested in each sec level.
So the immediate change for ice harvesting in hisec would be shifting from bookmarked sites to grav sites that need to be probed down. This alone will impact the value of ice. Then start tightening up the supply. Note that ice sites limited to one constellation or region will end up spawning in lowsec/nullsec anyway.
Heck - as an intermediate step, start reducing the quantity of ice in existing ice asteroids to the point that hisec belts will actually end up being depleted. No need to remove the static belts.
But moving all asteroids to grav sites that have spawn rates controlled by the economic engineers running the game would seem to me to be the ideal option.

Not a bad idea. If you must change the way ice works then I second what Mara has suggested. __________________________________________________
