Chat: Velator Nation (have to type it in) Trying to form a group for a Velator combat Blob. To join go to the chat and read what it says. Or my bio if visible. Basically everyone would just get a fresh and disposable Alpha Cloned alt(new character) and get basic skills and use Velators. Basic skill set gets you like 50 DPS and it takes a day or so if that. We will organize with Peoples and places list so we can see who is avaible and with dedicated (yet disposable) alts we will know who is active.
The point is to do it in Alpha clones limitations. To fill out the 900k it can use more if you want but that is extra DPS or leadership if you are going for that. That way we can almost freely move around and jump back at no cost to do anything. Including the potential ability to maintain the swarm despite death to give an added combat edge(Part of the point and possible fun). BTW all tacking skills can be done in hours to a day. Some need Electronics 4 which can take a day but that is about it until you go for extra DPS.
I think half of the DPS is obtained in a few hours. The rest is extra. And the full DPS is only obtained after getting Near or over the 900K. But you can get an awful lot in the 900k(That is part of what this demonstrates. Not to mention what you can do with 4 slots.) Most of the combat revolves around Scanning a ship and finding out which way to take him down. partly weather he has a Smartbomb and how to tackle him if so.
The Normal setups only cost a few thousand isk for parts. But more elaborate can cost up ot a mill to several mill if you want to try kinkier things like mass Neuting or cloacking(you can fit a cloack to a Velator also. Good for nullsec ganking. Just need to generate the money to get them if wanted.)
The basic DPS is about 50DPS per ship. The max(beyond the 900K) is around 100DPS per ship with 75mm guns and possibly more if you get full Advanced weapons upgrades and can get 125mm, but you lose tackle at that point unless I calculated wrong(unless you want to multi billion dollar velators and use implants 8p). I have to calculate it but I would imagine it is around 125 or up to 150 DPS per ship. Probably around 125.
Even a basic group of 50 ships would then be fully tackle capable and do around 2500 Dps raw(Plus size advantage)! A Fleet can do 12500 dps raw incase you think velators can't do damage. Someone showed me a video of10 taking down a Ruhk. They can be very powerful if done right.
If you want to give it a shot Send me a peoples invite adding me with good standing at least and mention velator nation. Or go to the chat room and wait to hook up with people. It's just starting now so it's empty but i you want to help get th ball rolling feel free to do either. I will be in there or an alt and can get hooked up immediatly.

I kinda like this idea...
However I think you are overestimating the DPS..
A velator with Default Fits with all skills at level 5 does 7 dps at most. "Sorry, Your Sov Options are Unavailable due to a PSN Outage."

you are forgetting what happens when you take out the civ weapon and add in 3kisk 75mm Railguns... And the 2 Drones!
you get 50dps fast. Yes a freshly spawned one would be 7 damage. but the other stuff is widely available.
You can take down a BS with less than 100k Isk. 8) (depending on the cost of the warp scramber) The rest is all group tactics.
I think alot of people have played this game for along time and don't really have a clue about the range of ships and damage. You can't learn that till you play the smallest thing possible! if you master the rookie ship almost everything else in the game becomes simple.

The point is to get an alt you can jump onto when you want something different to do and try to get other poeple you know are dedicated to going out in a blob and fighting and killing some stuff free style. No prior obligations to corps or friends. Just blowing stuff up! I just wanted alpha clones so we can blob and change locations and not have to travel more than neccesary. And for free!

you can't put non corp stuff in the recruitment thread. You have to specifically put it here.
I also thought being in a pirate area people would be up to using small ships for things people didn't think they were good for. And be all gun hoe to do it! I guess all the pirates are *****asses... what the hell has happened to this game community. Maybe they should start monitory when people say they use weed and weed some people out. Maybe the motivation to do things would improve in general.

That is 4 rookie ships.... And the point of velators is you can keep refielding them easier than anything else in the game. It's a good ship to keep doing mass attacks. If you die come back or try another tactic. That would be the whole fun. Raw carnage in the form of veracity! No fear of loss no fear of anything. It all about tactics and fun anyway. And in that ship you have a few very important tactical advantages.

A noob ship fleet is always fun, but if you're trying to gather support - you're doing it wrong. Why is it every one of your posts is 4x longer than it needs to be? I felt like I was sifting through the Bible looking for something with actual meaning.

Also T1 frigates are good for no risk no worry PVP, and they can actually kill things. Maybe 50+ incursi?

I once had a 900k SP alt skilled to fly a rifter. Surprisingly effective. I tried to create a corporation of "Invincible Anonymous Alts Anonymous" or something silly like that, the idea being that nobody really cares who you were. Everyone is an alt, so whatever, just grab cheap T1 frigates, blob up, and suicide into things. No need to worry about clones, ships are super cheap, killing anything is a victory.
Had a few people that thought it was a good idea but nobody actually joined QQ. I hope you have better luck.

Yea. I have a physical problem with my nose. My septum is shoved to one side and I"m incredibly stuffed up and don't breath properly. So my head gets messed up and I overword things. I can't condense what I say. 8) I think it's because the lack of oxygen long terms screws up your thought pattern. 8p
Trying to get medical stuff for it, but, atm, it's only for while I sleep or wear a breathing device. Or will be if I get the machine I'm trying to. 8) I'm probably giving to much info too. but that is what it does to me. I can't think more than that out. I literally start suffocating and gasping for air at times. I don't think doctors are all that swift anymore. It's like you have to tell theme very detail of the problem for them to figure anything and look up the symptoms in a book. They can't figure them out or investigate on their own anymore. And god knows they can't probably understand the damned books anymore they look at.. They are too damn lazy and ignorant. I've had my problems for over a decade and the stupid doctors can't figure out basic medical problems no matter how many times they stuck that ****ing magnifier up my nose. YOu'd think it would be obviouls HMMM physical abnormality seen. Check for sypmtoms logically and all possible degree of problems. Then give medicing and possibly use equipment instaed of painfully sending through testing with every machine one at a time. They are all ****ing imcompitent and need to be in jail. they are all below the level of inteligents to be doctors and are violating their oathes....
Then I edit and the post gets long. 8p

Edited by: Velator Nador on 30/06/2011 14:15:36 I hope this doesn't count as an illegal bump or something.
Velator nation still building up. Anonymous Consequence free combat. I'm using a contact group setup. So just join up and wait for the group to build. Get in the chat room and wait to start seeing other people or help recruit and add to your own list and help get everyone together(be patient though it may take a while). No leadership. Totally freestyle. Do as you want. But the point is to do velator combat. 8) Also trying to stick to alpha clones(900ksp) and use that. You can do combat focus under that circumstance to like 50DPS or more. And get t2 if you want. Though I recommend using the T1 variation for cost. the damage is good though. There are several strategies including long ranged drone fleets and lots of tackling. I actually need people to help figure out the entire reality of velator combat abilities. Then as we become more familiar we can all teach people as they come in and help people if they have questions. And have ideas of how to get setups for combat if they want. Nothing too stringent. Just basics for fighting. Don't have to put that much work into it either. that is just if you want to mess around and learn it well. I'm just as good with mass blobs flying around for fun or a mix. Actually that would be preferred. so take anything in it in a manner fitting a laissez faire group. I'm calling the group type a join and grow group. It's a let sit thing if it doesn't grow fast. Basically something to do in your spare.. spare time.
If you are interested and would like to join up or be in the group just add me as contact in the game with excelent standing and say velator nation so I know what to add you for. Do that for anyone in the group actually. 8)
There is also a chat up called appropriately "Velator Nation" (no quotation marks). And info in my bio ingame. Not very full atm but if people keep joining up it could eventually get busy. 8)
And feel free to get anyone else to join. It's free form so just group up and then get with other people if you ever see them in game or in chat. Also If you don't know about labels you can make one and call it velator nation. You then just mass select anyone and give them labels you custom make. You can also set people on notice etc. There are several options in people and contacts to do groups like this without a corp. It's also more anonymous and you can't be wardecked!
OH YEA! I'm getting wing commander(3 currently 4 in 4 days) and may go beyond the alpha clone just to get the fleet skill. That is primarily so we can split money if we kill mobs on the way if we have enough. So if anyone else wants to do that you can. It takes a lot of your skills up though. You kind of want to combat focus or leader focus. If you stick to the 900k SP you only get to wing commander 4. I want to get higher fleet stuff though since I would think it would be nicer to be able to also get a full 250 and never have to split up the group if desired for bigger groups(also for cash distribution against NPCs). So if anyone wants to. obviously we don't need any. We could use chat which would help get people in the game if they join in the middle of activity and see what is up but the others can have benefits. And so could just using like leadership 3 or 4.
