We tried to field an alternate but your representative moved the wrong person into the tourney system in the wrong ship and then refused to move anyone else.
You failed to turn off the system wide jammer for about 30 seconds of match time during which DS was able to nano into a superior position.
I got very angry about it earlier but at this point I'm more a mix mildly upset and disapointed in how much you :CCP:. Why couldnt you move in the right alternate and then have everyone warp in again when it became obvious the guy who was supposed to turn off the jammer field was asleep at the field. Then we could have at least lost legitimately to Darkside. Meh.
If anyone wants me to provide logs to back up my story im more then willing to.

The topic was discussed later on in the day, it was an accident, these things happen, and fixing it would have taken such a huge amount of time that they may not have been able to fit all the matches in for the rest of the day.
Plus as Shadoo said you guys were actually in a more advantageous position because of the second ECM burst, sure it caused a lot of confusion but if you'd been on the ball you could have swung the match your way, because you didn't you actually lost against a team that was slightly disadvantaged.
As for superior position, you were both minmatar, their superior position was your superior position, so where's the problem there?

I'm told they were in arty sleipnirs, which explains quite a bit as to why this team didn't make it further.

I have no problems admitting we messed up with the ECM burst at the start of the match as it didn't deactivate correctly and we should have caught it sooner, however, a lot of the issues you had, you brought on yourself.
Teams are generally contacted about 20-30 minutes before your fight by our GM team (varies based on how long previous matches take), at which time they ask you to set up a fleet if you haven't already, with the members you wish to use for the fight. When we were ready to move you into the tournament system, you got a one minute warning, at which point one of the members of the fleet had a disconnect. I was informed of this, and we gave your member time to reconnect to the game, at which point he was moved into the tournament system. You are responsible for having your team ready in advance of the match, but after the disconnected member had been moved into the tournament system, we got a request to have him replaced.
At this time, partly due to the prior disconnect, we were running late on the schedule, and we told you that we could move the member out, or you could fight as you were. At this time, we ran the pre-match checks, which showed that you were now over the allowed 100 points, and that some members had illegal modules or implants. As all of these things are squarely your responsibility to have sorted out pre-match, we made the decision that we would not wait for your to replace a team member, and a ship was moved out of the system, so that you were not fielding too many points in the match.

The tourney is on a schedule. Going over time due to a disconnect is unfortunate, trying to compound that by NOT BEING ABLE TO COUNT AND READ THE F'ING RULES is purely your fault.

Talked with a mate of mine today and this was basically the gist of what he told me:
-A- figured DS would assume that they were going to go for another rush strategy, seens how that's all they'd done so far. Based on that premise, -A- decided to fit out for what they assumed would be an anti-rush fit from DS, but also wanted it to seem like nothing had changed and they were still going for the brawling rush setup, so they went for an arty kiting setup with sleips/cyclone. This was a fit that they figured would counter DS' anti-rush fit. So, when 2 ecm bursts went off they weren't actually charging at DS, as the commentators believed they were, but were moving away with the plan of killing off DS tackle before they could get on top of the -A- scimitar. The 2nd ecm burst, however, made that impossible and so the sabres were able to get almost immediate tackle on the -A- scimi.
As for the -A- pilot that was moved, one of the players DC'd before the team had been moved to the arena system. He relogged, didn't join fleet and traded his cyclone to an alternate who had joined the fleet and the fleet asked that the alternate be moved, which the GM apparently agreed to. The player who DC'd then entered into a loki to station spin, thinking he wasn't going to play in the tournie. However, the GM in question moved him, in his loki (He was not in fleet), and not the alternate (Who was in fleet, and who the GM had agreed to move), which put the -A- team over the maximum 100 point limit. Consequently, the -A- team were told they had gone over the point limit and were not allowed to field the Loki, which was not supposed to be fielded in the first place, or the cyclone, which was supposed to be fielded and would have fit within the maximum point limit.
It's a bit late atm for me though, so I might have gotten this wrong and I'm hardly an official spokesman for -A- lol. The logs from Mukk would be great.

Except this person was the 'right person' until one minute before the match started? Sounds like someone made a mistake. (besides mittani).

I dont believe that anything that was said by mukk would be considered a "whine" , he was merly stating facts. i was the alternate, and when the other guy was having connection problems i was traded the ship (at which point he jumped back into his loki) and i was in fleet ready to move, when ccp nova finially woke up, he still moved the other guy even though he wasnt in fleet. Every match before this was just a stepping stone to yesterdays match, i can speak for many members of busa and AAA when we say we have much respect for darkside and was looking forward to that match, whether we won or lost there would have been nothing but GF across the board.
