The current build on SiSi as it stands has a major problem with the new recruitment interface.
The new adverts are nice, although they lack simple things like automated replies when someone applies, the ability to auto-renew the adverts, and even something to show they have expired or not are missing at present, I'm still hopeful they will appear at some point.
However, there is a fairly critical design issue which is going to make it very difficult for any corporation with more than a handful of applications currently pending to recruit.
On TQ, since Revelations (maybe older, I'm fairly sure it was changed around then though), "Applications" list is simply a list in its own tab, with names and application date, and is sortable by both.
Although it doesn't look fancy, this is good, and allows you to find people you want to recruit assuming you don't simply accept everyone into your corporation, and you can even type the name of the character in to jump to it in the list.
However, the current build of Incarna has a major problem:
http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/5482/799527191415.png
The list of Applications simply is unusable.
There is no sort function at all, and the applications are not sorted by any displayed method. On top of this, there appears to be no way at all to make the displayed list any bigger - its stuck at 2 and a half characters worth, making scrolling through it painful with only a handful of apps.
E-UNI gets around 60 applications a day, and only about half of which bother contacting us for the interview stage at the moment. Now there is no way to clear the old applications out other than opening them one at a time and rejecting them. We have an estimated 4500 applications pending.
The old system is bad enough, but at least it works!
It's probably too late to do anything about it for launch, but we are going to have no other choice than to leave applicants waiting to join as we simply have no way of finding them so we can accept them into the corp.
Bug report number for this is 111128, reported almost a month ago along with other bugs in the new interface - this one however is quite literally a show-stopper for us.
Can we just have the old applications tab back please, or the contents of it in the little window? _____

I believe this would also become an issue for Dreddit, is there no way to have both?

FYI, this bug which was unfiltered is now "Attached to a defect".
Hopefully it can get fixed very soon after Incarna. _____

We've already looked into this with the team and have a fix being worked on. We can't fix this however for the launch build but as soon as it's fixed and tested we'll roll it out in one of the early patches to the Incarna expansion.
Sorry for the inconvenience this causes to high volume recruitment corps.

It does make me wonder which 'UI expert' came up with the idea to leave out sorting to begin with. Not very thought out and definitely not usable.

I would like to voice my concern in this thread and try and point out how important this is.
As the HR Director of one of the largest corporations in the game we average around 400 real applications a month. That is, applications which actually follow the correct application procedure and use our external authentication system to also create their application. There are so many that don't follow this procedure and just end up putting in an in game application I can't count.
As good as our application/authentication system is at the end of the day we are at the mercy of you, CCP to actually create a usable system for us to deal with inside the game.
You have failed. You have turned what is already one of the ****tiest professions to have in New Eden and cranked it to a whole new level of **** that even I thought wasn't possible in this job. It's as if you specifically looked at the old UI and were determined to make it worse. I'm imagining the UI designers glancing over it now.
UI Dev 1: ****ing hell, have you seen the corporate application interface?
UI Dev 2: What about it? What's wrong with it?
UI Dev 1: It's looking a little too functional.
UI Dev 2: It certainly isn't consistent with the other interfaces in this game.
UI Dev 1: We better fix this, the boss would have our head if he found there were some inconsistencies with the new UI framework.
Seriously, just roll the thing back and we can all forget this incident ever happened.

It's actually pretty salvageable with some very basic changes, and would then look good and work in a logically consistent way. I know - in my EVE?!
I've just sent a big long mail with the adjustments (all of which are small and should be low-impact) to the community bods to pass along - hopefully the UI guys read them and implement a few, then recruitment can be improved for everyone involved. _____

I really don't mind what they do at this point. After not being able to see more then 2 1/2 applications on the screen, pretty much anything is an improvement right now.
I just said to "roll it back" because I thought that would be the path of least resistance and will get me and the rest of my HR Drones a somewhat functional interface back faster.

Whatever it is you mentioned its bound to be better then what we got so right now so thank you. Hopefully devs act on this ASAP.

Sorting alone saved a lot of time, especially when you were hunting for a specific application, now we just get what we're given.

how about if something doesn't work - DON'T RELEASE IT - fix it first then release it.
