Does that mean NPCs now have smart bombs? Or does it mean that exploding things such as the Pleasure Gardens will now damage drones?
I expect this means that Ishtars and Gilas are now further nerfed for running complexes, given that AOE damage is triggered often in the plexes as a structure hits a given HP level and the drones are generally the dealers of damage which activate this trigger for those vessels.

Is there any way to download patch before Incarna will be deployed? I have slow internet connection and will take about 2-3 hours to download 700+ Mb patch.

It hurts me pretty bad personally. I have two accounts that can each run 3 of the 4 unprobable T3s. That's a decent amount of training time and a lot of isk sunk into ships and fits that will need big adjustments. This will definitely make it more difficult for us small gang types.
Nevertheless, the change does far more good than bad. Imho, unprobable sniper BS, unprobable mission runners, and even unprobable links are bad for the game. So I welcome this change.
There is, however, one problem I foresee. Links can still be run out of POS. In my experience, the systems where gate camps are most prevalent are systems where the campers have POS. Being able to run T3 links out of POS (and, therefore, out of harms way) is a pretty big advantage.
What I propose is that links are made so that they do not work within POS shields. This will force the campers to run links with the same risks as the gangs that come to fight them.

Would be a great addition to the change to unprobeable ships!! Please look into Joe's suggestion!

Edited by: JerseyBOI 2 on 21/06/2011 03:40:22 Thank you CCP. You continue stamp out mechanics assisting small gangs. Did it ever occur to you that most of the 0.0 entry systems where, lets face it, the pvp is at, that your blobs that you help foster with your foolish assertion that extremely large fleets are the pinnacle of pvp and the most fun (they're not), almost always have links running in a POS invulnerable to bolster their 50+ man gangs and the only way for smaller gangs to counter these fleets is to use an unprobable link ship? Once again your scope of what effects your nerfs has on the game fails. STOP BEING BAD. Figure out a way to fight BOTS, fix your game breaking moon goo bottle neck (you went from moon bottle neck to region bottle neck, good job), and stop taking people out of space with bullsh$t in station fashion shows.

as far as I understand, turret fire effects are localized to client side and not affecting server side of things

Originally by: Selnix @Navigator Since it was blatantly disregarded in the first blog comments thread which indicated CCP's intent to prevent ships from being incapable of being probed down I would like to ask this again... Will you change the bonuses of the Tech III Warfare Processor subsystems to allow the ships to fit some semblance of a tank whilst running their links? I think that a snapshot of TQ would find that 90% of T3s which have command links fitted are running 2-3 of them and that this requires a T3 to be fitted with the majority of their low slots housing co-processors and their mids partially filled with command processors. If T3s are to be brought back onto the battlefield they need to be more than a 15k EHP pinata. This is an easy fix as well... Role Bonus: 99% reduction in Warfare Link module CPU need. Can use 3 Warfare Link modules simultaneously.
I somewhat disagree. It's bad enough already they allowed T3s to perform in the niche that was previously the last thing exclusive to fleet command ships.

Makes sense but will not change the situation much. The ship will just stay close to the shield and move inside when a bigger fleet comes to "scare" it at the POS.

Incarna is to be deployed at 07:00 hours UTC/GMT, yet http://www.eveonline.com/en/incarna countdown is at 7+hrs. On the in-game calender it is set for 05:00 UTC.
I need to know when it will be on/offline. Not trying to be an ass CCP. <3 EVE

OMG what a was of time this release is. Sorry to all the developers. CCP needs to get a clue, i have 4 accounts 1 with over 140 million skill points another with 130 million and have been playing a long long time. I have stopped playing because you have pushed this game to utter boredom!! largest fleet wins, if the fleets are too big node crashes etc, bring back the ability to have small groups have lots of fun fighting all the time.... easily or quickly. Make this game something that does not require hours of labor for 1 possible battle!
Please ccp make this game fun again!!
hm....need a new sig :p |

So to sum up we are getting 1. A room to walk around in by ourselves 2. New turret animations 3. Some clothes to show to ourselves 4. A new currency to buy the above mentioned clothes 5. Another new player experience package 6. Some bug fixes 7. Newish graphics for some old ships
Hmmmm...... EVE is a spaceship game wasn't it? Shouldn't there be some new spaceships........
Seems to be a large patch or a very small expansion. Was really hoping for content with this.....

People asking CCP to make the game less boring. People complaining about performance issues. People asking CCP to make CQ disable feature because it loads graphics, has no meaning in an MMO -RPG- (that is my favorite). People complaining other problems arent being solved because of the work in CQ.
There is one major solution for all of this: Make CQ unavoidable, and very costy in terms of machine. Doing so, all the previous mentioned people really leave the game, and the people who bought their computer in this decade, and play MMO -RPG- because they like MMO -RPG- will be able to have a better game.
My PC has around 2.5 years in my use, and still run 4 EVE instances at ease, and I havent upgraded this PC EVER. I agree EVE is boring lately, and it is boring because you cant really feel the excitement of being part of EVE universe because it has many "reality checks" to enable old pcs, button smashers and general whiners play it.
About time EVE as a scifi MMORPG, started to gather SciFi fans and not WoW dropouts counting "arena ratings"(killboards) and bragging knowing it all and not knowing why you cant have a draenei warlock.
A hint: EVE has became boring, among other reasons, preciselly because many of its players started ignoring the EVE universe and started making EVE "pew pew in space".
