Looking over the posts here I see two different mindsets and I dont think they are going to get along.
On one hand, players concerned with their ship fittings, skills, pew-pew and carebearing.
On the other hand, players concerned with the outfits they can buy in-station and whether color options will be available or will they lose their clothes when podded.
It's like chain laden biker bar vs. pink shirt preppy bar and CCP wants them to play together.
I see fist fights coming out of this. _ _________ _ "You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view - until you climb into his skin and walk around in it." |

No, we're talking about the cynical *******s who hate change to their game, and who couldn't give two ****s if the game is better for the rest of us, and the blatant carebears who do the opposite because they hate the former category.
I'd like it more if the *****ing started AFTER the patch rather than before.

No offense but I know where you stand already. _ _________ _ "You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view - until you climb into his skin and walk around in it." |

No, it's like whining ***gots vs. everyone else, and they've been "playing together" since the dawn of time.

So if you don't like WiS your cynical etc etc.
Some people play this game to fight and die in ships, not see who's wearing the latest crap and dance around a mail box in Stormwind....or am I getting the games mixed....will it be hard to tell soon?
Making all this walking in stations stuff optional rather than forcing those who don't like to use it would be a lot better.

EDIT: No, OOPE doesn't play into this because one player's legitimate concerns addressing WIS bugs/features/limitations will be another players joke of the day. _ _________ _ "You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view - until you climb into his skin and walk around in it." |

Edited by: Idami Raptor on 21/06/2011 19:25:04 It's more like the whole car 'modding' scene. On one side you've got the people who mostly care about how their car looks. On the other you've got people who mostly care about how well it performs. Two sides, one appearance, one performance.
Except that it's not that polarized, not that black or white. You've also got people who want their car to perform very well, but want it to look completely normal. And you also have people that want it to go fast AND look fast. These types DO care how it looks, but they ALSO care how it performs. It's not mutally exclusive.
And then on the fourth hand you've got people who want their car to look like it's fast, when it probably isn't. Bloody ricers.
Trying to cast this whole 'debate' as being completely polarized, with people either completely on one side or completely on the other is a fallacy. Most people are probably going to be somewhere inbetween.
Will they prioritize one or the other? Sure. But that doesn't mean they don't care at all about the one, they just care about it less.
