Hey, if you think it's too expensive, then don't buy it...
I sure as hell will sell it though ;)

True that. Either people buy it or not. Price will adjust if necessary.

Edited by: Shazi Mavox on 21/06/2011 23:33:36 Yeah, and second of all: It's a free economy, thus if a pair of pants costs 300 million ISK then nobody will buy it. That will force prices to go down, eventually all will be balanced and normal, just the way nobody likes it ;)

Didn't one of the Devs say they would ensure the Noblehouse prices would be watched closely?

Yes you are right in that market forces will change the prices of items. You miss the point though that the prices things are at currently are the prices set by ccp. The prices are stupid ridiculous. ccp is stupid ridiculous.

I'm taking your word for face value on this since I'm still trying to patch. If the cost really is fifteen dollars for a virtual item, I will not be noticing that aspect of the game. In fact, my contribution will be to ignore it till the price comes down to something like a dollar per item.
Like, fifteen dollars could set me up with another month of EVE Online or buy a real nice pair of real pants.

Literally logged in to say this. Also, I wonder if we should call these 'macrotransactions'.

I'm actually all in favor of the aurum system, but WTF CCP!??!? You couldn't have possibly launched the micro transaction market any worse. You set no expectations as to the cost of the items to the player base. Who would have thought a video game would give me the sticker shock of a lifetime. I am totally blown away by the prices. AND I WAS PLANNING ON BUYING VIDEO GAME CLOTHES WITH MY REAL LIFE MONEY TODAY!! CCP, PLEASE go back to the price structure drawing board and try again. I really feel like you are throwing money away with these insane prices.
