Talk about holding back a game.
I don't think anyone would expect to run any current gen game in two instances at a time with less than a high-end quad core, 4 gigs of ram and a GTX 460 or superior video card.
They haven't updated the graphics of the game, they tacked on a much more graphically demanding section that has nothing to do with the actual game itself which has caused a lot of problems for anyone with an average pc and who like to run more than one account at a time.
If anything, the cq development has actually held the game back due to the resources that went into it that should have gone into sorting out the old issues and improving the 'flying a spaceship' part. It also makes very little sense for ccp to suddenly start pushing 'current gen' but badly optimized sections to a game that is more focused on the playable area outside of the stations that doesn't require too much in the way of computing power to display.
As an aside, my 'gaming comp' which was built by myself two years or so ago has 2 x 8800gt's a slightly old core 2 quad 6600 will happily play pretty much anything 'current' at either 'very high' detail or as close as makes no visible difference. So why should a 'content light' section of an eight year old game which is renowned for being playable on a vast range and age of hardware suddenly be an incredible annoyance to anyone who's comp doesn't contain this years tech? |

5 mins after trying it, its bad enough being shut in a smallish room in RL with my PC without being stuck in a small room in my online world

It's an initial introduction.
It's kinda obvious so many people disabled it, there is actually few things to see and hardly anything interesting to interact with that you can't already access though the neocom.
Once you can actually walk around stations, see others and interact with people and other objects / npc im guessing it's going to be used a lot more often.

X - it makes just no sense to walk around alone. I want character interaction.

X - All the years of hype and all they can do is let me sit in a tiny box in front of a screen that cycles the same images every minute or so while creating some huge hardware load. Take it back and give me some damn game balance not some half baked microtransaction room. Back to the massive hardware load, ok it isn't massive compared to some things but really that tiny ****ty room plus the terribly low quality hangar shouldn't cause me to have less FPS than I do in Grand Theft Auto 4, a game in a massive city and known for horrible optimization.
By the way nice job on not just having an icon on the left to open my ship cargo. Why the hell is it easier to do your microtransactions than to interact with my ship? Is EvE a microtransaction game with a spaceship background?

I liked Incarna, until I badly burned the tip of my left ring finger on the gpu fan exhaust on my LAPTOP...

X - clunky, clumsy movement and makes the useful stuff, like the market, perform slower.
Total effing failure imo.

X - I tried CQ and it looks gorgeous, but it eliminates the interaction with your ship and I can no longer tolerate it EVERY TIME I DOCK. So I have disabled the station environment and will probably not use it again until the hangar view returns.

X - I use a slightly underpowered laptop and the CQ makes it take 30 seconds + to dock and then runs like general crap.
