ISSUES
ò Auto-patch does not work, don't waste your time. Downloaded Chribba's torrent and it patched my system fine, I don't think you need to download the full client as CCP has been insisting.
ò After you patch it will take forever to launch EVE the first time, go get another beverage (you're sure to need it) and then come back. Incarna should be waiting for you.
ò There's an issue with entering your password - put your password on TextEdit, copy it, use CONTROL-V (remember, this is really a Windows program after all) to paste your password. Hit enter and you should be able to log in.
ò FPS in space was ridiculous for me and I have a Mac Pro with 16 GB RAM, and the Radeon 5870, something is broken, it's not your specific machine.
ò Right click or alternative click seems to be stuck in lag or something, it seems to work sporadically and not in a lot of areas it should.
Walking up to your docked carrier is cool, that's about it for now!
CCP - please steal some Mac guys from Blizzard or Valve.

Regarding the issue with entering your password, try this: Fix for clients patched with broken patches Mandrake CCP - Core Infrastructure

Worked for me Madrake, thanks! You know that Blizzard and Valve thing was tongue in cheek right? ;)

Manually delete the cache before starting the client should speed that up.

This is because the torrent is the same as the broken autopatch. Full client install works. Mandrake's patch fixes it.

Yes. The patch you got from the torrent is broken. Full client or Mandrake's patch.

Guess? Yep. Broken patch again. Full client or Mandrake's patch. --- I don't know! I don't know why I did it, I don't know why I enjoyed it, and I don't know why I'll do it again! Bart Simpson. |

No, seems Chribba's is working fine once that mini-patch is loaded and you give it some time to update the cache. Once I gave it about a half hour in station everything started working like normal.

Sure. If you apply Mandrake's mini patch it fixes the problem. Still the torrent is nothing but the broken patch they had released this morning, the one you would get with the autopatcher if you run the client around the time TQ was opened for business. How do you think Chribba got it? --- I don't know! I don't know why I did it, I don't know why I enjoyed it, and I don't know why I'll do it again! Bart Simpson. |

Edited by: Obodi on 22/06/2011 02:19:10 Wondering if anyone else sees this: In CQ, zooming in using the scroll wheel actually moves the camera to the right. Some kind of camera centering issue, maybe?
2010 27" iMac with ATI 5750, full resolution, fullscreen.
Otherwise, framerates both in and out of station are acceptable. CQ is superfluous until they add the rest of the station environment.

Not if it tells you it's corrupt each time you try to download it LOL. I think using that is better than doing the full download as right now there seems to be issues with the auto-patch.

I've seen two issues so far, but I have been unable to reproduce.
1. I minimized the client, and then brought it back up and I was no longer able to type in any chat window. (When I restarted the client this was resolved.)
2. When I quit the game while inside a station, it hard locked my Macbook Pro and I had to literally press the power button to get out. The mouse stopped moving and the caps lock key would no longer light up. (ie. seriously dead locked.) - Again, this wasn't reproducible once I restarted the game.
