I have a 8800 GTX, no issue so far (it takes about 1min to load CQ tho)
from what I read, issues are with laptop mainly. Is it what you have?

Well the sight says its a performance increase so should be okay. Are you able to run the CQ with that card or is that with it turned off?

can run CQ with the card, just takes 1min to load. having to wait 1min in a (this) game is kind of long... once it's loaded, it run smoothly

9400GT running fine here, although the textures in 'walking in cupboard' are a bit off.

Edited by: Karsa Egivand on 22/06/2011 02:21:30 Its fine for most people (just in game in the channels, where happy people are actually posting and playing).
You get a negative selection here. 1) this is the complain forum anyway 2) if sth doesnt work -> you got nothing better to do then forum-post/complain, while you would be flying around eve otherwise (as most do)
So dont sweat it, its working fine for most people.

9600 GT is an older but ok card. The overheating is caused from people stupidly setting Interval to immediate which gives the card NO time to rest between frames. This pushes the card to 100 percent or up to 60FPS with vsync which while fine is NOT good if.
A) The heatsink is dirty or fan compromised. B) The driver has a bad case of setting the wrong fan speed (Multiple ATI and Nvidia drivers have done this on occasion) B) The ventilation of the case is compromised.
If you have a laptop with anything but GREAT cooling. DO NOT SET INTERVAL TO IMMEDIATE! Sorry to yell but its better than a cooked GPU. And even with it set you should always make sure you have the ability to check your temps such as Speedfan or your drivers with AMD or GPU-Z.
