I filed bug report ID# 113379
I have had no trouble running Incarna on Singularity up until the last build, which ended up being the TQ build. Now after about 3-5 minutes of idling in the CQ, the video lapses, effecting a system crash. As I said in the bug report it doesn't seem to be an issue with nVidia Forceware, GPU heat, or CPU heat (CPU barely gets used), etc.
I hope the bug report is useful but I wanted to know if anyone else is getting this system crash. I can still play with Load Station Environment ticked off.

Starting to suspect CPU temps (hit 77C, has never done that before). Edited my bug report to reflect this. Also, see this General Discussion thread.

I see my bug report was filtered out. Considering the amount of detail that I put into it and the thousands of other players that must be having the issue as per this thread, I find that a bit insulting.

It maybe pushes cpu allot but if your pc crashes because of CPU usage please try to clean the inside of your comp and if that isnt enough some better air circulation is needed. ______________________ I am just a crazy cow |

Bug reports are *supposed* to be filtered; it just means that a bug hunter has looked at it and attached it to the appropriate defect.

Did this, ran Prime95 successfully beyond any CPU heat generated by games, Eve or otherwise.
I closed the report for now because the issue started to come up in other games. Will report back when fixed. However, even though I believe in coincidences, it started with Incarna.

If anyone is interested I've come to the conclusion that Incarna did in fact have a hand in blowing out the GTX 280 (more specifically the VRAM on the card due to TIM breakdown), since I also played around with it on Singularity and it was regularly reaching 100C. HOWEVER, the GTX 280 was always a ridiculously hot card, typically ending up in the 90C range even with the fan speed up to 100%. So while CCP certainly needs to clean up their Trinity code, nVidia/EVGA were also to blame.
Now I'm running a Radeon HD6850 and I get twice the framerate and 55C temps max. So, go figure.
