Hi, thanx to CCP I am now gonna play in bootcamp. now the bad is that I've lost all my settings, which sucks. The GOOD, however, is that the game is a millllllllllllllllllllllion ****ing times better to the point I almost wonder how I played it on osx before, at all. SO, does anyone know how to:
-export & import my browser bms? -export & import my channel settings? -explain to me why moar ppl don't just use bootcamp?
I mean, it's easy to set up, and while I can't flawlessly multitask AS MUCH as I could on OSX, windoze is verrrrrrry stable and the game's brilliant. So, please and thanx- \o/

Same here, except with a X3100. (The card's supposed to be capable, but the drivers aren't.)

Easiest thing in the world, since with Bootcamp you can access your Mac partition from Winders.
Open the Macintosh HD partition (or whatever you may have renamed it to) and navigate to
(arbitrary drive letter):\Users\<username>\Library\Application Support\p_drive\Local Settings\Application Data\CCP\EVE\c_program_files_ccp_eve_tranquility\
Copy the settings folder to:
Winders XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\CCP\EVE\c_program_files_ccp_eve_tranquility\
or
Winders Vista/7 C:\Users\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\CCP\EVE\c_program_files_ccp_eve_tranquility\
Just to be safe, though, you may want to boot into OS X first and move the EVE settings to the root of your hard drive just so you don't necessarily run into any user access problems. _____________________________ http://twitter.com/krispydingo http://krispydingo.com |

QFT.
Sad part is that I actually started playing this game because it could run on a mac, but it's really more like 'limp along'.

It's no secret that you should see an increase in performance under Windows. Generally the Mac client is slower full stop. You could always install a 4Gb Memory kit, though you only be able to use 3Gb of that however. Either way it should improve your situation somewhat with all those windows background processes ;-)

Can't beleive this mess since this Incarna update! I feel as if I'm in a communist country trying to argue my point. Oh Well. I also have an Imac 2.16 GHx Intel Core Duo with 2GB Memory with a Radeon X1600 256MB Graphics card. If I use bootcamp and load Windows 7 or XP will it utilize Shader 3.0?
