Yeah, you've never met my cat Banjo, then. From melodramatically screaming outside the door to be let in as if he were dying, to snatching food out of your hands, to eating so fast next to his sisters that he vomits in his sister cats' bowls, chasing them away, then commences to eat not only his own vomit again, but the rest of Cleopatra and Camilla's food, which he will undoubtably vomit up again. Dignified, indeed.
Cleopatra is the boss over the entire household and her name is fitting, but sometimes she's just a *****y cat and deserves a smack. Nothing like a cat jumping in your lap to cuddle, only to turn and fart in your face. I think I actually punched her after that.
Meanwhile, my yellow lab Marduk quietly lies down on the floor watching all this nonsense and then sighs deeply and goes back to sleep.

Which goes to show that all the arguments for and against cats/dogs are pure conjecture and based purely on personal experience or lack there of with a wide range of various personalitites within each species.
Personaly I prefer cats as they are much better suited to survive on their own and do not have to be locked in a house/pen/yard.

I have to pick up the crap of at least three cats every day. And they're not even mine! They're the neighbours cats.. ¼_¼
Stay off my garden you whiny bastards! All I ever hear from them is stupid cat noises all night, at least I can train the dog to be quiet.
Edit: Just remembered a man my dad knew, he'd trained his dogs to do their business over a small manhole.. try getting a cat to do that.

I like dogs. I like other canines as well, such as wolves and coyotes. And I even like foxes (vulpines). But I like felines more than canines (Cats are just AWESOME). ____________ ___334576___ ^^My Signature is Better than Yours^^ |

Since Amaroq brought it up and I can not rememeber if it was ever posted here or not, I will bring this to the attention of all dog lovers.
The Silver Fox was completely domesticated in about 50 years.
If I ever get a dog it will be one of the above mentioned foxes, if I can afford one, or a dauschound.
But still Cats FTW

oh I like dogs.
they, however, seem that prefer to use me as some sort of plaything, or keep pushing me out of the damn sofa when I'm visiting my sister.
I like my cat more. she's a bit jittery, but I can actually have a seat on anything in the house and not being pushed out because she decided she wanted to go to the sofa too. ---

That's very cute, you using your dog as a ***** enhancer. Then again that is just a matter of size. If i had to choose to go head on with a canine or the same size equivalent of a feline i would go with the canine. Surviving a pitbull/dobberman whatever attack feels more likely then surviving a panther/tiger whatnot attack.
Then again it's just a matter of taste, for me it sounds like you own an animal for the wrong reasons perhaps? I personally own my cats and dog for the companionship and not for striking fear into people. Just as a side note my female cat Nova is the boss of all, the dog does not dare mess with her. It's all about energy and not size in their world.

heh, I love that video.
And I think the argument is just another addition to the Mac/PC, Console/PC, Cars/motorbikes and [insertitemhere]/[insertitemhere] array of arguments. People on both sides of the coin will naturally want to argue at each other.

No, that speech was cute.
Everyone who keeps dogs keep them for companionship, except those ******s on council estates who hang them by their teeth on rope to make their jaws stronger.
Up until a few years ago I had a Great Dane, half the time he actually did strike fear into the hearts of men but I have no doubt than unless seriously provoked he wouldn't hurt anyone, he was almost incapable of it. I'd never want him to hurt anyone either.
I may argue on the side of dogs, but that's just to rattle cages. Cats and dogs both have their merits, I used to have a cat in fact.
And good look getting a panther/tiger into your house.
