Edited by: Teako on 24/06/2011 11:03:03 For CCP to even try to make up for this I would personally require the following:
1. Microtransactions compltely gone, forever. We already pay the highest price for any MMO out there. And the game has absolutely nothing to offer to even excuse anything higher. It should on the other hand be way under 10$/10Ç now for such a stale game.
2. Allocate resources to the game. The last few years it feels like 5 people are working on EvE. 5 might even be too high. We get a new ship model every half year, nothing much if any fixed. And then there this broken WoD engine. And 1 single CQ and nothing more just for the Aurum shop. You could just aswell have throw poop in our faces and it wouldnt be as bad.
3. There needs to roll heads. Its not an option its a requirement. People with the wrong visions and bad attitudes just cant stay.
4. Keep Dust away from EvE, You already selctedc a closed platform and made sure interaction would be a nightmare at best. I guess you avoided PC and Xbox for the greed again. While putting Dust so far from EvE that they dont belong together.
5. Give us back ship spinning and early station environments. They had more game atmosphere than the lame stuff you simplified over the years. I remember gallente station with cityi motion, calls in the speaker and so on. Not just a dead buzzing place. Or even worse with teh CQ jail.
6. Undumb the game. Making eve dumber and dumber all the time aint helping. We aint playing WoW here.

To make the question clear:
Will there ever be in-game items (ships, mods, ammo, etc) OR specific mechanics (faction, SOV, etc) for purchase using AUR?
Just answer the question, yes or no
Seriously, at this point that's the only question you need to answer ... and it needs to be answered NOW.
This is all I need to know and want to know!!!
Since Pann confirmed the leaked info is real. Then the answer is YES.

We live in interesting times; in fact CCP is the kind of company that if things get repetitive we instinctively crank it up a notch. That, we certainly have done this week. First of we have Incarna, an amazing technological and artistic achievement. A vision from years ago realized to a point that no one could have imaged but a few months ago. It rolls out without a hitch, is in some cases faster than what we had before, this is the pinnacle of professional achievement. For all the noise in the channel we should all stand proud, years from now this is what people will remember.
But we have done more, not only have we redefined the production quality one can apply to virtual worlds with the beautiful Incarna but we have also defined what it really means to make virtual reality more meaningful than real life when it comes to launching our new virtual goods currency, Aurum.
Naturally, we have caught the attention of the world. Only a few weeks ago we revealed more information about DUST 514 and now we have done it again by committing to our core purpose as a company by redefining assumptions. After 40 hours we have already sold 52 monocles, generating more revenue than any of the other items in the store.
This we have done after months of research by a group of highly competent professionals, soliciting input and perspective from thought leaders and experts in and around our industry. We have communicated our intention here internally in very wide circles through the Virtual Economy Summit presentation at the GSM, our Fearless newsletter, sprint reviews, email lists and multiple other channels. This should not come as a surprise to anyone.
Currently we are seeing _very predictable feedback_ on what we are doing. Having the perspective of having done this for a decade, I can tell you that this is one of the moments where we look at what our players do and less of what they say. Innovation takes time to set in and the predictable reaction is always to resist change.
We went out with a decisive strategy on pricing and we will stay the course and not flip flop around or knee jerk react to the predictable. That is not saying nothing will change, on the contrary, in fact we know that success in this space is through learning and adapting to _what is actually happening_ and new knowledge gained in addition to what we knew before and expected.
All that said, I couldn+ót be prouder of what we have accomplished as a company, changing the world is hard and we are doing it as so many times before! Stay the course, we have done this many times before.

Originally by: Terianna Eri Remember, for a lot of us, our biggest problem with CCP has been a lack of communication. I realize you have other duties but do please keep that in mind.
Yes, that was Pann's original intent with this thread, to apologize for that very thing and improve upon it. I jumped in here (you can find my earlier posts) when she had to leave, and I did a pretty **** poor job at doing so--as I'm more of an in person/social media communicator.
As for now though, as I am sure you can imagine, a bit more has to go in behind the scenes before communicating as quickly as we'd like. The situation is Katamari to say the least and any blue bars better make sure to keep that in mind.
So in short, ÇÇP mangement still hope this blows over and everyone is soon happy again. While still pushing MT further and neglegating the game completely in favour of Dust and WoD. The last few years it looks like 5 people have been working on EvE. And now we gotta pay for both MT and Subscription.
ÇÇP Zulu not only showed his arrogance in his blog. But also greatly blatantly insulted our intelligence.
I have trouble seeing EvE survieve this, unless there is some serious radically changes. Alot of heads rolling and development restored from its current zombie state. Since all devs seems to be doing work elsewhere.

Pot, meet kettle
- Elsewhere, Valerie Massey, senior director of PR and communication from EVE Online developer CCP, will take a humorous approach to discussing community management in, "Everything I Ever Needed to Know About Online Communities I Learned from Jurassic Park," a talk that will illustrate the ins and outs of the job using examples from the classic Stephen Spielberg film and its sequels.
Valerie Massey (CCP Pann) clearly finds dissatisfied customers amusing.

However the number of players connected to our server has highlighted a previously unknown issue in the relay server to which every player is connected. The server team is working on fixing the issue as we speak, but for the time being a temporary limit on the user count has been set up. Once the current issue has been fixed we expect to be able to run without a user count limitation as this is not a hardware but a previously unknown software problem. (In fact most of the servers are running at 1-5% capacity except for the relay)
We ask that you bear with us during the coming days until we can resolve this issue.

In any event, coming from EvE it is nice to see Devs and GMs in the Help and general channels and being extra responsive to player base. I also like the mechanics of the game so far and the familiarity of it coming from that other MMO.
Good job. Keep on doing a good job and players will reward you with years of subscription fees!
Congrats CCP. You win the year of benevolent MMO games Company prize. Because of , You give your players to another MMO.
