And that's taking into account that I've been playing this game for over 6 years. I like Incarna, and have been looking forward to it for quite some time. I don't like the method of implementation nor the MT fiasco, but neither of those things would make me want to quit on their own. And now, the leaked news letter and email have served as a catalyst to completely change my opinion of EVE and even CCP as a whole. I have fairly thick skin, and it might be something I gained during my military service. It takes quite a bit to actually upset me in any way, shape, or form. Yet, this upsets me....

They drew a line in the sand; then they openly discussed crossing it. They decided to hop on a bandwagon, but they didn't look around to check how high it was or what shape it was. It goes beyond communication. It's fundamental perception of reality stuff. CCP doesn't ask us because they know the way they have chosen to pretend to believe things are isn't real. They aren't addressing the fact they've lied to us, directly, because to do so would mean admitting their perception of reality is incorrect. It has become a standby that they no longer understand their game, a tired, almost hackneyed, statement. But never would I have thought it so blatantly demonstrated.

I've not been here six years. Will be nearing 4 soon. But - I agree. I've been angry before, but never even considered quitting. I wasn't a white knight, but I did often feel that I'd HTFU and learn to adapt. Now, I don't want to. Internet Spaceships are no longer serious business. This is shameful to say - I'm missing Freelancer now.

EVE is changing in a direction that many of us dont want anything to do with. To me, EVE will always be about spaceships and EVE spaceships itself is flawed in many ways. You are overextending yourselves with an assumption that innovation out weighs content. Sadly, it does not when the content itself is flawed and "broken." Remember, amoungst all this innovation the core is going to be those that get in their ships do what they do and find enjoyment from it. No amount of "virtual environment/experience" is going to matter if EVE spaceships is ruined. Pay attention to whats going on. I hope you understand what could possibly be at stake here.
