well, if 52 monocoles are sold in one week and there are 52 weeks in a year than you can be some what assured that they expect 2704 to be sold each year. or $172,947.84 per year in sales. 14,412.32 per month in sales. or about 900 users worth of income. if only 900 people leave over this than CCP is making money.
so i doubt they care... not that they ever did

Lol....the new ccp: we think our players are golden geese who wear 1000 dollar pants in real life, they are a metric in our logs to be squeezed for money, we dont care about you as long as our metrics show were are making money from the ones that are leftover.
For the leftover players enjoy the day where the type of player that plays second life comes in with their credit card, buys uber ships, skill points, ammo and so on and poops in your sandbox, since according to ccps ceo these are the players who will dictate the game from here on end.

Oh, and by the way, Damage Control II won't do it anymore. You'll need at least tech4 or an officer DC now. Good luck with that, tbh.

So is Eve going to be free to play and if you want to be able to kill anything you need to buy items that acts like cheats to win? Maybe good idea.

The title of this thread pretty much proves that CCP doesn't get it.
We're beyond the point of parley. Only at the point of a sword can anything be achieved now. Either draw your weapon and lay down the law, or submit, Pann. Those are the only options remaining.

I have only one thing to say to this out load of BS. Remember Star Wars Galaxies and the NGE patch they lost over 2/3rds of there player base in one day.
and yes give me back my old hanger and CQ an option to turn on.

And it all breaks down so simply. They drew a line in the sand; then they openly discussed crossing it. They decided to hop on a bandwagon, but they didn't look around to check how high it was or what shape it was.
It goes beyond communication. It's fundamental perception of reality stuff. CCP doesn't ask us because they know the way they have chosen to pretend to believe things are isn't real. They aren't addressing the fact they've lied to us, directly, because to do so would mean admitting their perception of reality is incorrect.
It has become a standby that they no longer understand their game, a tired, almost hackneyed, statement. But never would I have thought it so blatantly demonstrated.
And assuming that leaked email is not faked (and let's be honest, it explains SOOO much if it's true) it really points to a total disconnect between CCP's corporate level and her player base. It also points to a total and absolute lack of respect towards her player base.
No one says You may quit, but you'll come back if they were actually worried Eve's player's could break the addiction cycle.

Wow... I am absolutely Speechless...
The last 48 hours have been like an episode from the twilight zone...
It's quite clear what ccp think of player opinions... and that they no longer see eve as a work of art... but a cash cow...
I'm logging in now for what will be the last time to tell my corp mates I'll be leaving eve and cancelling my subs...
The point is... I liked where I thought eve was going... but incursion? P.I? a pointless unfinished cq? nothing to change anything in game that'd anger anyone?
"Judge the players not on what they say but what they do..."
well... -2 accounts ccp... actions speak louder than words.

I will reactivate immediately once CCP Helmar states that they will not now or in the future sell in game advantages for cash.
p.s. as you can tell I am not really a fan of incarna either, so you should probably stop developing that **** too, I have been loathing the thought of logging in to have to create a character, at least now I won't have to.

Player base? Myth... CUSTOMER BASE!
Eve is now just a big revolving door with a guy standing at the inside with a bat hitting suckers on the head stealing their money as they come in, then they go out.. Repeat, wrinse... laughter...

They locked and nuked the letter thread without so much as an explanation. You know me - I'm not the type to make leaps of logic: doesn't that seem a bit sweep-under-rug-like? ____ Even these can't save CCP

Time for escalation. No more pitchforks - its time for T2 blasters now. I'll come back when Hilmar is gone. (And that's as unlikely as EVE pulling their asses out of the line of fire)

I actually lol'd at Hilmar's attitude. He seems to think he sells an essential service where people don't have a choice. The market is flooded with options and more are on the way at an even greater accelerated rate than ever before.
Oh well I was looking to make a permanent home in EvE Online, but I can't support a company with this sort of attitude. All I can say is 'Next'.
For those who enjoyed DAOC check out www.primeonline.com (sci-fi DAOC ftw) a 3 faction PvP game where map control for your chosen faction affects the actual gameworld. Will be out later on this year.

Thats what company officers and uppermanagement do, back scratching, cackling at their own jokes and egos, and BIG LETTER POWER POINTS WITH METRICS AND GRAPHS TO CONVINCE THEMSELVES.
