Just wait until the next official blogs on micro transactions.
I simply cannot see any way to say anything without causing more riots.
Then, one day new items get introduced to the NeX store.
Then, more riots.
This is far from over.

MT will ruin the sandbox, the rich will have an advantage over the poor, and being good at this game will mean nothing.
We will see
Imho, CCP saw what White Noise and their RMT connections managed to do with real money, and they want in on that action.
It is not paranoia. Killing the bots would seriously hamper the RMT and CCP could disable every single botting app with a quick patch. It would take them less than a day in coding and testing. They are not doing that, and that I find very telling indeed.

- AUR: why do we need it when we have ISK?
- Probes: didn't need a boost as they were overpowered already
- Unprobable ship: was the only option to counter the overpowered probes in PVP, you just took away one of the last options to diversify the pvp in EVE. The abuse by bot mission runners is just the symptom of you game designers failures. Old probing was way better and gave us, as pvp'ers, an option to fight the blob. A blob created by your designers as you clearly lack the view on how the develop the game. All eggs were put in the blob warfare basket and you started designing your game around a flawed starting point. MMO, yes. Blobbing, no. We {the players} have been telling you this for several years. Instead of changing the mechanism you only worked on graphic shiny things that never needed change anyway. You kept fixing things that were not broken. We have even offered to help you out in making pvp a better experience for smaller groups of pvp'ers. I know other alliances have offered similar assistance.
- RMT... I like how you fight it everyday yet think of doing something similar.
- Plex prices: I remember an add, a couple of days before the patch, where you CCP announced that plex prices were rising and that players should get them while they were "cheap". According to the graph prices were not rising, instead you artificially inflated the price to get more money out of it. CCP you aren't just lying, you are also scamming and cheating.

Vanity stuff is fine. Even that some are as expensive as tehy are is fine by me. I'm not buying any, but the new players CCP is trying to attract may not like the price levels in the current store.
But I need a solemn promise from CCP that there will NEVER be Non-vanity items for real money in the store, or anywhere else for that matter.
I don't even mind the golden scorpion, as long as the gold is just a "paintjob", and it has exactly the same stats as the regular one as well as requiring a regular scorpion in exchange. Kind of like how a T2 Hulk requires a T1 Covetor to build it. In essence, you buy a Golden Scorpion BPC with a single run.
And I want the Aurum gone.
P.S.: Anyone know if any CCP employees have quit over the latest scandals? I for one would not like to work for a company that made the changes CCP seems to be doing.

I imagine part of the reason some of the rage has subsided is the revelation of CCP's apparent financial problems. In that light it seems that they aren't simply ****ing in our eyes purely for greed, but perhaps in a desperate gambit to stop their ship from foundering. If this is true things must be fairly bad to employ such abrasive and unpopular measures. |

They got into this situation by being GREEDY, I really don't care if they burn or not.
PS: I'm voting YES on every game changing NEX item there is :) Hope you enjoy your paywall.
I love surveys, glad the CSM chose to do one, I can keep making accounts to skew them in the PAYWALL favour :)

They are not against RMT at all, they want to be the monopolists at it since otherwise it's direct revenue that gets lost.

They could have come up with puppy eyes and asked for the playerbase help. They know EvE playerbase is actually a fan base.
But no, they chose the "greed is good" social climber motto.

If they cut the fat out of their organization (do you really need 9 people on the payroll to study the games economy?), stop working on other games and stop paying to fly CSM's round trip when CCP does not listen to them anyway.....then perhaps they will get their house in order financially. I fear there is so much bloat and the games owners are so used to a certain lifestyle that they will be unable to cut anything and thus go down the tubes like other gaming companies in the past have.

I have no faith that the CSM and CCP will come to a mutually beneficial agreement. Going simply by the annual report, they are in a hole. A deficit, if you will. In order to overcome it, they need a new source of income, which means they need to use something new.
The subscriptions and PLEXs being sold are not doing that.
Now, itÆs possible that CCP could decide to simply take Dust and shelve it for a bit. Let World of Darkness take the reins for game design, and charge a monthly subscription from that. As the game progresses and matures, more players come in, leading to more revenue, and Dust can be finished. Then thereÆs no need for microtransactions!
As it stands, though, EVE Online is dying. If the past week is any indication, over 5,000 subscriptions have been cancelled that we know of. How many more have been reading the forums and dropping subscription because of this? I doubt the 1,000,000+ views to this threadnaught have been just those of us being vocal!
CCP has made it clear that the concept of the CSM was a PR stunt, and isnÆt taken seriously. They give everyone the image of being listened to, but as we have seen over the past few years, it means nothing. The CSM is a valiant effort on CCPÆs part to maintain the wool over our eyes, but itÆs failed after this.
We are not sheep to be made mutton of by your butchers, and weÆve been showing that with our wallets.
The fact that The Mittani is already backing them up subtly shows that CCP has to do less to convince him to get him on their side. This means that the Goons, who control a majority of the CSM is memory serves right, will follow lock-step with Glorious Leader The Mittani, and CCP can come back to use and say, ôThe CSM has agreed with us. MT for non-vanity items is acceptable, so suck it!ö I will not be surprised.
As-is, the only recourse is to push for a removal of the Non-Disclosure Agreement, and that these meetings be streamed on-line for everyone to bear witness to. It will come as no surprise when this simple solution to the lack of trust is ignored by CCP. IÆve always told my Marines and sailors that if you need to do something in secrecy behind closed doors, then you know itÆs wrong and you are just trying to hide from the consequences.
I have already drafted a preliminary resolution for a Vote of No Confidence in the leadership capabilities of Hilmar. You can see it here. As long as we stick to our guns, CCP will be forced to listen to us. Go there and support it. As I said originally, it may fall on deaf ears, but itÆs just another kick in the balls, from my point of view. And I still have enough self-esteem and bearing to say this.
If they donÆt, get ready for some major changes. If they really want newer players and blood in this game, I have no problems using PLEX to fund my accounts. I wonÆt give them another cent. I will cheat, swindle, suicide gank, and otherwise grief the hell out of every newbie I come across, using ever legal means. Of course, this does mean that with-in the near future, there will be changes, and all of this will be removed. Mark my words.
This thread should be a clear indication that they are only buying time. ThatÆs it. They want our subscriptions to run out and then we arenÆt a problem. But the bad press and negative word of mouth will get to them eventually. Remember, what made this game was good press and positive word of mouth. Our friends and family play this game because of us. Once we start backtracking, people will listen.

I don't seem to recall Mittani agreeing on MT for non-vanity items. In fact he seem to be dead set against it.
MT for vanity items though are another story. Though I have to say that if CCP wanted to make money out of it, they are certainly taking the wrong approach, sometimes lower cost can yield higher revenue, especially when it comes to items that are free to produce once designed.. Same with Dust; I reckon they're pushing harder and harder to get Dust out ASAP, and it will likely be released with bugs galore.
The CSM will always be a PR stunt. CCP refuses to give them any more say than that, and after giving each member an all expenses paid trip to Iceland, it's no wonder how easy it is to sway the delegates' opinions. Also, as long as there's an NDA I'm not buying anything the CSM tries to say.

It was never stickied. Even when CCP Pann created the topic, there was no sticky.
As for my allegation about The Mittani, I'm going by the subtle hints and influences located in his own postings and ramblings. Looking at it specifically from the eye of a person trained to wed out such things and look between the lines, it's a bit more subtle than I would expect from someone, unless they too were trained, and/or part of the PR movement. ***** ***** ***** *****
