Not answered by a long shot.
You won't see anything here until after the big CSM pow-wow and even then you'll only see what CCP wants you to see because of the NDA. That is, unless a CSM member goes rogue and risks civil fines and jail time for breaching that NDA. Nope, the silence here from the beginning was very telling.

Not answered, but easy to figure out.
They will release Dust as f2p with mt next year. If it goes well, they'll understand that to mean that mt and pay2win is the way to go. If it doesn't go so well, CCP goes **** up anyway over not being able to recoup Dust development expenses, so there's still no way we will not get non-vanity items.

Originally by: Vandrion I would love to hear what the CSM has to say about the MT issue especially considering the quotes and links I will provide below.
CSM--- Look at all the threads regarding MT. Look at the 52 page threadnaught in response to the Dev Blog on MT. Look at the thread in this forum where almost 80% of the responders don't want MT at all. The Eve community needs you to be our voice.
I qoute CCP Shadow from the PS3 blog on Dust514:
"Hi Vorlord. DUST 514 wonÆt have a monthly subscription like a number of MMOs. DUST 514 will have virtual goods sales though, that allow you to buy various types of gear used in combat."
"Hey Shoryukenll,
YouÆve asked a few things I canÆt delve too deeply into, but what I can comment on is what you said about virtual items and real money. DUST 514 will support purchases made through both in-game earned currency and real money currency."
Hmmmmm........ DUST514 is supposed to be tied into OUR Eve universe so now $$$$ for game changing items is one step closer......
http://blog.us.playstation.com/2011/06/06/introducing-dust-514-a-persistent-shooter-from-ccp/
Qouted from the Beginnings Blog on the Dust514 site:
"DUST 514 will, as EVE Online does, have a dynamic virtual economy and market that offers the tools that will give you a competitive edge, when used skillfully. Players are able to purchase different gear to equip before deploying into battle, using InterStellar Kredits (ISK), the in-game earned currency of the EVE universe, or through real money currency, called Aurum (AUR). This provides players with flexibility and adaptability in how they approach a combat scenario. Certain items are only available through ISK transactions, while others are only available through AUR. These are then traded freely on a player-driven secondary marketplace."
So... CCP is including AUR in DUST which further ties it into Eve and explains why CCP isn't listening to the feedback from the players.
CCP also clearly states that AUR is purchased with RL money........ There should be absolutely ZERO arguments that AUR comes from anything other then RL cash money......
Monacles today. Game altering gear tomorrow!!!!!
http://www.dust514.com/en/news/?article=1980
"RPS: So, if IÆm an EVE player, how is my game going to change after DUST is released?
Torfi: Well, you have the ability to be more strategic when you are conquering planets and solar systems, in nulsec. Those are the main touchpoints. Highsec carebears need not worry. The same for lowsec. The main touchpoint upon the launch of DUST, will be in nulsec, will be in sovereignty, will be in inflicting damage and destruction and death upon your enemies, destroying their infrastructure and their means to survive, either by means or scorched earth or by stealing their installations on the surfaces of planets. There will be more going on on the surfaces of planets. WeÆve introduced mechanics allowing people to manufacture goods on the planets, but planets will play a more pivotal role in sovereignty mechanics further down the line."
Snippet of the RPS interview on Dust 514
So not only will the dust players spend RL cash to buy an advantage in their game, they will be using that RL cash purchase to buy an advantage in OUR sov warfare.
This is why a lot of us don't want MT of any form in Eve. Our concerns do not matter as CCP has already planned the future and it is RL cash transactions to buy an advantage........
Posted that HERE on 6/9/11. The straw that broke the camel's back......

I haven't logged on to EVE in 3 days. After a lag out cost me a ship and my client kept crashing from the CQ I just got tired of it. Now I'm waiting to see what CCP does with the CSM summit. I'm willing to stay subbed for a solid game that allows me to fly an internet spaceship. I will not pay to be a beta tester for some other CCP tech or project.

Greed, is so distructive...
This question is for Eve and Eve only, I don't care if I can buy gold ammo for DUST players, as long as that isn't implemented in Eve we are cool. Hell use your legal team to come up with the answer specifying that other games that influence Eve may have gold ammo but Eve itself never will.

Dust could easily be an F2P-MT Model, as with the EA's Battlefield FPS, it could easily work that way.
Most of us are still speculating what role Dust has over Eve, in terms of Sov, I don't really think Dust will be given such a role hence that implies that Dust players will be dependent on Eve Players for "skirmishes" on planets, which mission orders may not be continuous. The only way to get Dust players can play "unceasingly" would be that mission orders are given by NPCs regularly.
Unless of course if Dust is just a bland shooter that its just Team A against Team B, team that's left standing wins, this implies that Dust doesn't follow a story and the only role it has over Eve if is the use of planets as its staging environment.

Nobody really cares about....
* Dust514 - great idea, more universe and look forward to killing console kiddies. * WoD - if it'll ultimately provide a profitable revenue stream to fund more Eve stuff. * monocles and AUR - there is no law that requires everyone be able to afford every vanity item. If you can't, tough, deal with it and buy some tissues to cry into. Look forward to the us$5000 chromed cranial cap like Merlin wore in the film Excalibur (1981)! * CQ - it is just the first stage to walking in stations and other such stuff, anyone who can't accept it's just the first part of a much greater thing should stfu and quit without posting their whining to the forums. * overheating gfx cards - no manufacturer would release a card that overheats when being utilized at 100% (or any %). If your card is overheating your PC is rubbish, fix the airflow and ambient heat issue it's clearly outside the parameters your card was designed to operate in. It is absolutely not in any way CCPs problem, it's yours. * the leaked memo. All companies exist to make a profit. Anyone with experience in business knows you talk about all possible options however illogical and unsavory they appear. Talking about them does not equal enacting them. Nor does it in ANY WAY WHATSOEVER INDICATE WHAT WILL HAPPEN IN THE FUTURE. It does not follow that because paying to win was mentioned in some memo that it'll be deployed at any point during Eve's lifecycle. No matter what you paranoid broken brain makes you think.
What does matter is paying real money to gain ANY ADVANTAGE WHATSOEVER. Do that, I'm unsubbing and it appears 000's of others will too. Allowing real money to give players any advantage whatsoever makes Eve no better than Farmville or WoW. That is the ONLY thing that is an issue with the Incarna release. Unequivocally commit publicly to never allowing AUR to purchase anything other than purely vanity non-advantage giving items and all the raging and quitting will cease.

Untrue. Manufactures have often released cards that when put to full speed WILL melt down. Even the almighty nVidia brand is notorious for allowing their cards to overheat and melt. Where I work the Quatro cards can be turned in to a charred mess because the card does NOT have a throttling ability on it to save itself. These are not the $500 gamer cards either, these are $3000 'high end' business cards.
In addition people are reporting, and I have witnessed, that computers in other more graphically challenging games are having no problem whatsoever, but Eve is bringing their computers to their knees, even with liquid cooling.
Stop jumping to conclusions and try looking at facts, you might be surprised with what you see. . I'm as mad as I can take it and I'm not going to hell anymore!

I concur, got a NVidia 8600 GT-OC a couple of years back, it melted the VRAM within 2 months, got a replacement and the same thing happened, i can't blame ventilation, i have the 20 cm fan blowing directly into the GPU.
I could only speculate that BFG bungled and the VRAM was not properly thermally connected to the heatsink

A 'whistle blower' by legal terms is somebody who uncovers a company/organization's history or intent of legal wrongdoing. You can't break a NDA just because you're unhappy with them.

I am only interested in playing a game that is provided by people who have a passion for the game not for greed.
The incompetence of the game development team over the years had been comfortable proof that 'the game' comes before everything.
Then things started to change, a new semi professional approach to how the game should have been developed, the need for speed was the first signs of this move ....
... and now the need for greed.
MT we can see where its going. Captains quarters, eye candy nothing more, an imbuggerance, turned it off cant see my ship now, I am already fed up looking at that bloody door.
Hey guys do you think the CCP delegate team that met with Sony were in some way assimilated?
Cancel your accounts, you can always come back or renew if they change direction.
but make sure we are heard.
The bottom line is the only thing that is driving CCP now, they have lost the passion for our game, or more likely locked up the team that has it, in the basement, out of sight, out of mind.
The management need to start listening to the dev's and players before its too late.

Would you believe? I went to try other games (no, this is not the unbelievable part ).
I browsed their forums since they usually give an hint about the current status:
- Whining and raging = normal.
- Depression and indifference = things are going bad, Scotty!
In several of them, even the bad ones you may find people using: "Did they pull an EvE?" to mean major screwup.
Yes, "pull an EvE" is getting to be the 2011 version of "pull an NGE". Figures.

Originally by: Cynter DeVries I get the impression that the more prevalent thinking among CCP decision makers are that you've been able to buy advantage with PLEX all along. When they came out with PLEX I thought it was a good idea for the very reasons they gave:
- competes with unsanctioned 3rd party ISK selling
- provides an exchange in game time so both CCP and the players benefit
- works within the economy driving player trade
There's just such a huge distinction between that mechanic and using ISK or real money to buy magic items from CCP. If they were blueprints, we'd have something. CCP would just be another NPC and the eventual item sales would be between players. It is the threat of this interference that drives us up a wall.
Sigh.
This! I could accept THIS!!
