Hey all this is my first post. Tried to find my own way on this issue but really had no luck at all. I found a few corporation threads with lists of RP centred corporations but they are seriously outdated. Apart from the forum area I feel a bit lost with how I really want to engage with the Eve universe and by extension the community by roleplaying. If other new players have a desire too, Minmatar to boot I might even start up my own corporation with this aim as pre Incarna there was a filter for roleplay (of which some corporations had it ticked but didn't even seem to stick to it) but even that is gone. As I've tried to make clear, I've prowled the threads, searched corporations already. Help? :D

You best bet would be to make a post in Alliance and Corporation Recruitment Center. I'd recommend Ushra'Khan or CVA, not sure how RP they are these days. ----- Malevolence. is recruiting. Dive into the world of 0.0 !

As far as I know, Ushra'Khan and T.R.I.A.D. are the main Matari roleplaying corporations. Ushra'Khan is more 0.0 focused and T.R.I.A.D. is factional warfare focused.

Alternatively, you may wish to check out the Intergalactic Summit section of the forum, which is the in-character-only forum section. The reason I suggest doing this is you can get a feel for the RP style of the players you may choose to approach to ask about joining a corp, rather than reading a simple recruitment post which may not be very indicative of the corp members themselves. --- ISD IonCharge Lt. Thanks for the replies guys. Those are two good suggestions, those 2 offhand seem to be not so great from the meta perspective of a new player though unfortunately. That might be a bit of an all round issue though perhaps.
I did know about the Intergalactic Summit, which I've been looking through trying to work out how exactly RP effectively in Eve but that's a great suggestion IonCharge.

Also try the channel "The Summit", its the most popular general RP channel, and a good way to expand your horizons. -------------------------------------------------

Something that's been a big help for me on my original questions. I didn't know the difference between an Alliance and a corporation or it wasn't made clear to me one was the other when I was reading lists. So when I was searching for various groups under corporation and not finding them I thought they weren't active anymore. Not so!
So if anyone is a new player and a roleplayer to boot there are aliiances, pockets of corporations banded together and you can actually search for them in a separate category which is why they weren't turning up at first on my first searches.. Thought I would just mention that if anyone else needed help.

You could also try other channels: Linkage Not mentioned there, but are also noteworthy (although quiet sometimes, but in the NEA one you can often start a nice discussion yourself): New Eden Assembly The Razor's Edge Dance Club
