Wow, Zulu you must think we are all ******ed. Nice, stay classy.
Let me address some points you have made in your blog. You called Incarna your most successful expansion. If by successful you mean non-functional damage modules, a cyno jammer exploit, undocumented changes to scanning, increase computer requirements to handle new CQ and decreased functionality due to new CQ (more functions in CQ but the ability to use those functions is marred by poor implementation) then yes your new expansion is a run away success. Pat yourself on the back.
Now onto Fearless, are you surprised that people had a bad reaction to it? Yeah, it might have been a simple discussion on a controversial topic but considering the outrage about the Aurumn store and the "Monetarization" of 3rd Party Apps can you blame us for seeing the wrong possible outcome? Oh ****, you can. In fact you did by playing the victim. Oh poor developers and CCP employees who dared to voices their concerns on this topic, all they did was give their 2 cents and help out the company. Well, boo ****ing hooo. You are the vendor, you make a poor release with 60$ novelty items then you want to charge 3rd party developers, the very people who make your game playable a 99$ dollar fee and now you play the victim? Get over yourselves, if this was a misunderstanding then simply apologize and say that the timing is bad. Dont turn it on back on the players, it is your own damn fault for poor PR handling.
The last thing, the Aurumn store. You compare in game vanity items to real world vanity items. There is one major difference, a 1000$ unit of jeans in real world will have the actual application of PROTECTING US FROM THE ELEMENTS. Where you vanity **** costs 4 months of subscription and is just that, ****. Oh and guess what? There was a blog by CCP D-Bag on the vanity items in Incarna and at the bottom of the blog it says that more info and pricing is coming soon. They never did, we never learned of the pricing until the expansion was live on the server. So maybe there is someone who is at fault here, maybe there would not be all this outcry over vanity item pricing if some CCP D-Bag made good on his promise and provided the player base with the prices. Check out the blog by CCP D-bag right here: http://www.eveonline.com/devblog.asp?a=blog&bid=913
Have a nice day.

To be honest, this is quite funny. I have never seen a blog say so little yet anger so many.
I want to be straight with you CCP. Your going to lose your cash cow. You funding for Dust 514 and WoD will dry up very fast if you continue with this course. Your Blog did not mention MT for "power-ups", whether they will be added or not. One can assume that this means they will be added in the future. If you go beyond Vanity items for MT you will lose a lot of your subscriber base. Not a single person in game I have spoken to has lasted more then 3 months in a game that has converted to MT.
Your in love with MT, we can see that. What your not getting is that Eve is not a normal MMO. The player base you have will not jump on the MT bandwagon. They will leave this game. I believe your looking at this and thinking that you will retain subs, add more and get even more income from MT. Instead your setting yourself up for a situation where your losing subs, reducing the number of new subs and having little to no one use your new MT system.
A question, how many purchases off the Nobel Exchange have there been since launch? How many did you bean counters expect? I would hazard a guess that the results have been less then spectacular. It will only get worse.
This is enough from me on the subjuct, This will get lost in the rest of the noise but I can only hope that someone reads this and actually thinks about what your doing and where your reading instead of running off a cliff believing you can fly.

And just to comment on the Fearless thing. Fear is good sometimes. It keeps us from walking in front of buses, stepping into the lions exhibit at the zoo, and making dramatic changes to an MMO that the community is almost entirely against.
I'm not sure if you know what's really at stake here. Not only could people quit EVE in droves, but the CCP brand could be damaged by this to the extent that it carries over to any other CCP projects as well. You could become a microtransaction pariah. An example to other companies of what not to do.
I sincerely hope this doesn't happen.

I hope you didint just indirectly compare 70$ virtual monocle to 50$ real life pants? Your delusional and out of contact with real life then.
My current out fit (shoes, pants, shirt and underwear) costs less then your damn virtual monocle.
Well what i didint see you write was about those game changing items NOT comeing to MT store. This is the issue your player base is up on arms and ready to burn people on stakes.
I hope recent protest shows you fellows how out of touch you are with your fanbase, you need correct your mistakes and start talking to your customers again, and dont stop talking untill your sure you really really know what your customers want.

I would rather have something muddled and tricky to read and interpret other than having the idea running around in CCP that people with huge bank accounts can buy whatever the frak they want. Those of us that actually have to work for a living want, NEED, to be on the same playing field that everyone else is on. Either clarify that you are going to frak over the little guys or tell us that this "thought" has been squished in it's path.
The thought of paying as much as a Raven for a skirt is f*king ******ed. Who in there right mind would pay $80,000,000 for a damn skirt?
Also, 48 hours for a PR statement? I'm pretty sure any other company with a PR f*k up this bad would be all over that within a matter of hours. Can you imagine if President Bush would have waited 48 hours before making a statement about 9/11?

we have tried telling you things construcivly for months, you do not care. its very clear your only intrested in milking the cash cow.
screw the price of the MT shop. its of no importance and tbh it really only shows your greed, but currently gives no one an advantage so who actually gives a ****.
you quite clearly have lied about the direction you want MT to go and what your willing to sell for for cash.
incarna is a dog of a patch and for you to call it succesful only shows your lack of ingame experiance and knowledge.
1.incarna and CQ should be optional and not detract away from game fucntionality. both of these points need adressing quickly or you will loose players.
2. no in game advantage, items, services or products to be sold no matter what you charge for them
address these 2 points and all will be well. dont address them and your cash cow will wander off down the street and die to a passing MMO and you will be out of a job. was that construcive enough?

Please do not take this the wrong way, but considering circumstances and events & trends, the devblog was insulting. I understand you want to split things up, that makes sense, but the prioritisation here has gone terribly wrong.
On top of that, what is the point of "discussing". We have seen CCP discuss with the CSM, sure, and they were lied to. They were even misrepresented by CCP publicly. We have also seen the discussions CCP has had on these forums, and in media, and at fanfest.
But every piece of "talk" has been met with a different "action".
I am not addressing this to you as a person, but to CCP as a company. How dumb do you think people are? And even worse, how much do you take for granted the simple given fact that we want to believe, we want to share the dream, but you lie to us, manipulate us - in spite of the best intentions of good people at CCP there is something that snaps the company into a pattern of excess which does not reflect its origins nor its company values.
This is not your NGE. But you just decided to not be CCP anymore. And walking from here, now really does carry the risk of an NGE.

So.. I take it you wasted your time? No, I mean REALLY! My dear sir, the ****storm is not just pointed at them. IT IS POINTED AT CCP AS A WHOLE! And this includes you!
HOW DARE YOU! We, the people who pay your salaries through subscriptions and plex purchases, deserve a better answer than a giant F.U. +1 customer asking about CCP's official stance on "Will any MT happen that are not about vanity items?"
And yeah, more ship fitting save slots are not vanity items for my taste. They might not be game relevant as in win-or-lose, but they definitely are not vanity stuff.

I believe the Devblog missed the point a little.
Personally I had already assumed exactly what was said about your internal newsletter. The points were meant to be argued in a somewhat over-the-top manner to spark debate and thinking about the topic, in fact I'd assume some of the points argued aren't even the real opinions of those involved, but meant to spark ideas in others. I've found the outrage at individuals both amusing and kinda disappointing. That said I think CCP needs to reply to the actual, legitimate concerns some players have:
- Address the 800lb gorilla in the room. I honestly don't care(nor do most) about your AUR pricing scheme for vanity items, I may or may not buy them, depending on my personal perception of value. What needs to be addressed is.... "Will Money Transfer ever(in the foreseeable future) be used for non-vanity items"? period. An answer to that question is needed. Adding in some ideas for what you think are acceptable RMT items for the AUR system would also help calm some people the hell down.
- Personally, I like the CQ and would leave it on, I don't necessarily want a disembark system with the old hangar as the primary loaded station view which I would then have to click past to GET to CQ. I also don't find this a reasonable request, countless dev hours have gone into it, I doubt it would be put on a back burner like that. However, an option to re-instate the old hangar system through the menu option to not load CQ would be very much appreciated by many. The question then is "Is CCP able and willing to re-add the old hangar view as an option for those unable or unwilling to load the WiS content" and is that something that is sustainable going forward? So added to that is "Will WiS remain an optional EVE feature"?
I'm sure there's much going on behind the scenes to fix performance issues, and that should hopefully be addressed. Currently the CQ is a resource hog, which would be near impossible to implement IMO on a larger scale. Taking heat readings and DXdiag configs is a start, some of us have no issues, especially running single client, but for those that ARE having troubles a quick blurb about it would be nice.
I don't care one way or another about the status of forum poster's accounts, so none of that junk from me. It's unfortunate there is so much flaming, my post will likely be lost to the threadnaught, limiting the possibility of actually getting answers to reasonable questions.

Been playing since 2003 and loved this immersive game of internet spaceships. CCP were always close to their fan base and worked hard to get the game right and balanced.
But recently it feels as though Eve has become the company cash cow, purely there to finance their other investments at minimal expenditure.
I really could not give a flying frig about your plans for "SIMS in Stations" or ridiculous Noble Store. I do care about the complete lack of development on the core game, impact on game play introduced by the undesired expansion and the potential threat of buying an in game advantage with RL money.
Your response is crass and displays the degree of contempt that CCP holds for their paying customers. You obviously dont care, about individuals, just number of net subscribers.
With 8 years invested in playing EVE, I am loath to leave, so its time for some public disobediance in game.
Any other company would be firing the senior exec right about now as well. Its one thing to make a huge mistake, quite another to compound it with arrogance. PK

I am a new player on EVE. I don't presume to have the same feelings about this as those of you who are 7+ year vets. What I do know, is that games, especially games I pay monthly to play have to work to be able to play them. Incarna Day 1: Had to wait hours to play, only to have to re-download a 5 gigabyte game client. Incarna Day 2: Get on to play and lose my cursor 4 different times. Incarna Day 3: Go to stop my ship with CTRL - SPACE, and guess what? Can't stop my ship. Not even with the contextual. Incarna Day 4: Watch as the player base lynches the CCP dev team. I may not know much about EVE, but I have been playing games my entire life. Last I knew, games were about art, player interaction, and enjoyment. How can people be asked to pay for and enjoy this game, when you are trying to crash it into the ground? Take the DICE game studio for instance. When they said they would release the Physical Warfare Pack to those who pre-ordered Battlefield 3, the community was in an outrage because not everyone pre-orders, and those who didn't would not get several new weapons. So to solve the outrage, they made it free to all players on launch day.
I am in no way saying that anything should be free. What I am saying however is that your player base is what keeps you in a job. Nothing less, nothing more. When you **** on your community, you lose money. But I suppose that basic marketing skills are not high on a the quest to become a developer.
