CSM members have stated that many times. Apparently CCP decided their answer's were correct, even though it really just added fuel to the fire.

Originally by: Tesla Grass CCP, bit dishonest not to have this Devblog as the log in message, or have it on the ISD news. You know that a large majority of players don't read the forums, at least the protests this morning and the local chatter across almost all systems was informing people.
I don't think they really want that blog disseminated widely. It answered no concerns, resolved no issues and managed to insult everyone's intelligence.

That devblog just added fuel to the fire. As a company, CCP have their heads so far up their own asses it's astounding. You just really don't get it do you? You didn't address any of the concerns expressed by your customers over the last day or two. Whether it's denial or hubris doesn't matter anymore, CCP has shot themselves in the foot and fixed the problem by amputating the leg.
CCP, you can stop digging your own grave now, the hole is plenty deep already.

Edited by: Bloodpetal on 25/06/2011 02:16:42 QUOTEs from EVE-RADIO
A lot of really good stuff came out of the summit which is going to be over-shadowed by this one major issue
It's like EVE is trying to to convince you they're like Starbucks coffee is special and different than a 99c Mcdonalds Coffee or a Dunkin Donuts Coffee... It's not, it's a game with lots of issues and bugs.
When you buy that watch and you put it on, you own it. With CCP it's not, they own it.
It's ******ed that you have to spend more than a month of game time to put clothes on a single CHARACTER. Are they destructible or not destructible - are they going to come up with stuff that's less expensive but is destructible.
The attempt to brand EVE as a premium game. It's a premium price game for premium content. Premium game? In what way?
They haven't in my view nurtured it to be what it could be. And this is not the path to get us there, in my view

Didn't a CCP rep. just write a contrite request for us to be calm and stay open-minded?
Oh yeah there was and I did...
Then this Zulu character writes this piece of junk?!?!? Pathetic! Zulu I am sorry but how could you think that this was ever an appropriate response?
You have now taken an issue that was game-related therefore controllable and made YOURSELF THE ISSUE!!!!!
Your blog wasn't a parley it was a shot across the bow!!!!!
P.S> I read all the blogs that come out..I wasn't necessarily passionate one way or another on the MT but your poor attitude has completely turned me off.. Zulu stop posting...forever...get BigDumbObject to do it for you..at least he has a clue!

1. What Fearless is and the nature of its content 2. The pricing strategy behind the NeX store
I do realize there are other concerns you have and those will be addressed, but doing it all at the same time would make the messaging tricky and muddled and not allow for a focused discussion. I understand a lot of the frustration going around but if we want to discuss then we need to do so in a constructive and focused manner.
Thanks, Arnar
So... what you are saying is "**** you subscribers!"
What exactly is tricky about saying "Yes we will introduce game play affecting stuff...or no we won't"?
oh because we know what the answer is just by you even entertaining the thought. Yep. Good one. Bye. Remind people that profit is the difference between revenue and expense. This makes you look smart. Scott Adams

This silence is speaking volumes.
Its only 1 syllable Yes or No, takes about 1 second to type maybe a few more seconds to post it up somewhere where people can see it. The lack of communication speaks to a probability that they don't want to say yes till they can find a way to put lipstick on that pig.

CCP, I think you failed to see the concept of micro in micro-transactions. The reason farmvill or second life Works, is because ITS CHEAP! and there is a lot of people buying the stuff. No matter what you say or do to the current price goods, people will always say "you are being greedy."
I am a fan, but I know when to stop and I'm stopping at your subscription. I won't be buying your virtual goods until I see them drop like a rock. ---

sent by hilmar to ccp global list-
(strt)
We live in interesting times; in fact CCP is the kind of company that if things get repetitive we instinctively crank it up a notch. That, we certainly have done this week. First of we have Incarna, an amazing technological and artistic achievement. A vision from years ago realized to a point that no one could have imaged but a few months ago. It rolls out without a hitch, is in some cases faster than what we had before, this is the pinnacle of professional achievement. For all the noise in the channel we should all stand proud, years from now this is what people will remember.
But we have done more, not only have we redefined the production quality one can apply to virtual worlds with the beautiful Incarna but we have also defined what it really means to make virtual reality more meaningful than real life when it comes to launching our new virtual goods currency, Aurum.
Naturally, we have caught the attention of the world. Only a few weeks ago we revealed more information about DUST 514 and now we have done it again by committing to our core purpose as a company by redefining assumptions. After 40 hours we have already sold 52 monocles, generating more revenue than any of the other items in the store.
This we have done after months of research by a group of highly competent professionals, soliciting input and perspective from thought leaders and experts in and around our industry. We have communicated our intention here internally in very wide circles through the Virtual Economy Summit presentation at the GSM, our Fearless newsletter, sprint reviews, email lists and multiple other channels. This should not come as a surprise to anyone.
Currently we are seeing _very predictable feedback_ on what we are doing. Having the perspective of having done this for a decade, I can tell you that this is one of the moments where we look at what our players do and less of what they say. Innovation takes time to set in and the predictable reaction is always to resist change.
We went out with a decisive strategy on pricing and we will stay the course and not flip flop around or knee jerk react to the predictable. That is not saying nothing will change, on the contrary, in fact we know that success in this space is through learning and adapting to _what is actually happening_ and new knowledge gained in addition to what we knew before and expected.
All that said, I couldnGÇÖt be prouder of what we have accomplished as a company, changing the world is hard and we are doing it as so many times before! Stay the course, we have done this many times before.
(end)
All I have to say is
GG CCP, GG

Really trying hard to find congruity in these statements:
Quote: I hope Iæve addressed your concerns and cleared up a lot of the issues youære having. Weæll continue monitoring the forums and other communications channels and pick up and reply if there are concerns not covered by this blog.
with
Quote: Hey all. To clarify this blog, its intent was to address two topics and two topics only
So, basically, you thought you could placate/divert/bully the angry mob with the first blog. Then, seeing when it was unsuccessful, backpedal and condescendingly state, in essence, "You idiots didn't get it, the first time, I was only talking about these two things. You guys just don't get it."
Placate by reminding us how awesome you are for giving us the greatness that is Incarna. Divert, by justifying pricing. Bully, by chastising your customers for not understanding the use of in-house newsletters and for having the gall to speak poorly of your co-workers.
So, being the "Fearless" people you are, please try thinking outside of your current paradigm, which seems to view your player base as imbeciles that have no concept of what they want, should thankfully lap up what ever you are deigning to spew and pour greater amounts of their money into a game that may or may not be improved by their continued financial support.
