Nice post by OP but I still dont agree. I dont think ccp should make us pay for any items in eve as long as they're getting the monthly sub fee from us. Lowering the NeX prices isnt good enough.

I don't mind about vanity items, or the CQ. I actually think the CQ is pretty nice, and as of right now the vanity items which are sold have absolutely to effect on me what so ever.
Im giving this a +1 because the OP didn't ragepost about quitting, and start swearing at CCP for doing what they think is a good move for their game, without consulting the player base.
Hope this stops all the rage, and that CCP take note for future expansions and NEX ideas.

Gaaaah, do I have to repost this everywhere? The thread kind of fails to address my issue which I'm really praying is shared by atleast some of the other players...
The entire game is centered around one massive economy that the thousands of players all interface and interact with in a thousand different clever and not so clever ways. This expansion was advertised as an opportunity for the players to have new chains of industry, professions, and all the other emergent experiences that come with it being a natural extension of the PLAYER based economy. Instead CCP grabbed it as an opportunity to line their own pockets at the expense of the quality of their product. They are essentially entering their own games economy!
They also mention providing new ships, ammo, etc to the game via real money. They don't realize the fact that the ships made by the players are mined from raw asteroids, processed, traded, speculated on, refined, manufactured into ships with the help player copied blueprints, and so on for every miniscule aspect of the game. What do all these players do when people just start buying better products directly from CCP using real money? Do they just sit around and do nothing or start having to spend more money on top of their subscription to enjoy the game and maybe be competitive?

I would reword the following though:
"òIt states MT will be in ALL areas of the EvE Universe." The memo doesn't "state" this will be the plan of action (at least not explicitly), so they can easily answer this point by saying the memo is just a debate of ideas or possibilities. This should be stated more in the lines of "why is this even being considered even though you know how the players feel about it". Or something like that.
Thank you
The following excert was taken from Page 5 of "Greed is Good?" and starts in the middile of the last paragraph on the right hand side.
"Thus, we will not and cannot focus on virtual sales only within the Incarna environment, nor build that environment around such sales; rather, we will effect a universal strategy of micro-sales throughout the EVE experience. So, as a player, while you are inside a station, you will find gameplay that links to other aspects of the game and that also presents you with virtual purchasing opportunities ù just as you will while you are in space or on a planet fighting as a DUST merc."
Thanks for the support and keeping it constructive
In a completely constructive way:
Yes I know what the memo says, but we're trying to get a possitive response from CCP. And saying the memo "states" something would be a step backwards, since they already said the memo was only the opinions of the people who wrote it and does not represent CCP's "plan". I'm not saying 'I' believe that, I'm just saying what they, in their small little heads, regard this as the truth and might dissregard your post because of the wording.

If i may: I think that if you step back a little and think about the exact issues in more detail, which indeed are exactly what everyone else is concerned about (see, you aren't alone!), you'll find most of them in the OP

There's nothing I don't agree with. You've also laid everything out in a clear concise manner appropriate for a business environment, if CCP ignores this then all hope is lost.

+1 from me.
I too love this game, and do not want to see Greed destroy it.
Greed is good? No, not ever. Fair pricing for services offered, THAT is good. Offering quality services at competitive prices? That's even better.

Issue 1 Ship spinning Community awnser = Get a life
Issue 2 NeX Prices Community awnser = who cares
Issue 3 MT & Features Community awnser = Its soundwaves personal thought in an internal document not freaking company policy
Issue 4 CCP Zulu's Blog Community awnser = 500 pages of flames and you expect an awnser? /facepalm
Issue 5 CQ Community awnser = Clean the dmn dust out of your fans before you whine about heat. Overheating is a hardware issue not something you can create with software you idiots
Issue 6 Broken & Stealth Community awnser = most have been fixed and so what that you cant be unprobable anymore. Now stealth actually gets more added value as a feature.
Issue 7 Communication Community awnser = ya thats right go protest to someting that hasnt even been done and in the proces cripple the economy for your fellow players. Like this really hurts CCP..... It hurts us you idiots. What point is there in communicating with an angry mob of idiots.
Issue 8 Hilmar Community awnser = Perfectly good motivational email for employees nothing bad about it in any way

That said, People have been doing a great job keeping this thread constructive and although your opinion would be welcome, trolling (or whatever that was) isn't either helpful or welcome.
Please try and be contructive so that those that want answers could indeed try and get some.
Thanks.

I would strongly suggest that anyone speaking to the gaming press, stop hammering on just the MT and ridiculous clothing prices in specific and instead talk about the meta-issue; that being that CCP is basically raking in EVE money to support the development of two other games while giving very little back to EVE, and has been for well over a year and has little evident plans to do so in the future.
tl; dr: People are mad that CCP is taking our money and not supporting EVE.

Current System:
If you buy uber elite modules and ships in game, even if you use Isk from PLEX sale, at some point, a PLAYER had grind out that Isk you are spending, and PLAYER had to hunt down and kill that officer for that drop.
AUR system:
Stuff appears out of thin air in exchange for RL cash, no PLAYER EFFORT involved ANYWHERE.
Play nice while you butcher each other.

YOU'RE FORGETTING ABOUT NON-VANITY ITEMS!
CCP has clearly demonstrated that if you don't physically shove something in their face then they will ignore it. OP needs to add more clearly defined concerns about pay to win items.
