There are no 200v200 fleets.
It has WASD movement???(which not everyone likes)
Is there a player driven economy as complex as in eve so EVERYONE can find something to do?
And now the biggest EWW:
Perpetuum has learning skills... yes, the ******ed learning skills it copied from eve online.
Even CPP removed pathetic learning skills from the game.

What are you blabbering about? EVE is 8 years old. Perpetuum is 6 months old.
And no, it has no learning skills. It has EP which is the same as SP. The only difference is there's no queue. You gain 1 EP per minute, they all go to a pool and then you spend them wherever the hell you want. ____________

Perpetuum has both wsad and click to move. Play the game before you bash it. No learning skills either.
And why does the amount of players matter? The pvp combat is MUCH MORE FUN in perpetuum. Lots of small gangs roaming which I wish I could have more of in eve.

It wants me to install DX9, even tho I have DX11 installed. Unsure about installing DX9 and maybe screwing up my DX11 install.

Err, well, there are barely 200 players in game right now who are not in the Eve channel. ;-)

You can click a tile to move there. You can also select something in the overview and approach it. Orbiting is missing though.

The mechanics are there but the population is too low. Corporations have their own economies though.

It doesn't have learning skills. The skill system works like if eve gave you unspent skillpoints over time instead of having to manage a queue.

Perpetuum is an ugly ugly game. It's environments are bland, it all takes place on one planet, hardly anyone plays it, its combat interface is convoluted. Don't ditch Eve yet. You'll be sorry if you ditch Eve, and then there is a positive turn around in all this :)

Perp has one thing CCP doesn't that make it worth it: I was on it last night and I chilled with a GM and a Dev, who both were helpful and tried to do everything they could to help me as a new player.
They answered questions truthfully, they didn't try to BS me or lie to me. They liked the idea of me subbing, but they actually cared more about making the game better for players.
CCP does not have this, not anymore. You cant chill with a GM , or talk to a dev freely, in Eve Online, as a new player.

False - Perpetuum does not have learning skills. It does, however, allow you to accumulate Exp Points over time, and apply them to different skills when you choose. So you could not log on for like a month, and have alotof EP that you can apply to specific skills.
Industry is significantly different from EVE, with some nice innovations.
PVP is awesome, terrain effects LOS weapon fire, no cloaks, but signal maskers that reduce your radar signature, and there is no align or warp to just get away, you have to use speed, maneuverablity, and use of terrain, which makes PVP far more interesting.
WASD is one movement method, can also autowalk and steer with the mouse,
The GUI is similar, but then again, similar function requirements pretty much means similar methods of handling them.
It has alot of potential, and people should give it a try, big battles are maybe 80 to a side , and there is huge amount of potential to expand into the industry, pvp, island control, at pretty much ground level, EA accounts for open release started end of last November, so no one is that far ahead of anyone.

i've downloaded it and will start giving it a spin as soon as im done grinding my is-4 in WoT
I'll keep my Eve Accounts going too with accumulated wealth.. this is such a diverse game there's bound to be something to come back to now and then.... and the forums are hilarious.
Don't anyone uneccesarily burn bridges.. trying altenatives might make this grass look greener in retrospect and portent a return.
I'll say one thing.. the animation is way more appealing to me than the psuedo real thing we got.. ill go to the mall if i want to see real people that I can't control much more than the incarna avatars but at least the real people move fluidily and are more fun to watch.
