i mean, it makes sense that they would want to talk in person instead of online, so nothing would get leaked.

Doubtful. That would indicate that the CSM are in any way relevant.

lol yeah, because they listen to the CSM so much these days. If it's true its undoubtly be a PR strategy instead of real good intentions. If I was CSM I would tell them to go FTS

If I were a CSM, I wouldn't report to Iceland. The way this Himmler guy talks, he obviously isn't actually connected to reality at all. I would be very afraid of why that guy would want me in the same room as him.

Only thing I have to say is that no CSM has really been heard from since the EVE-Radio show on the EVE forums or on twitter to my knowledge nor have blogged to my knowledge.
They may have posted on FHC forums, but I don't check there.

It makes absolutely no sense. Why would CCP have them make a trip to Iceland? I mean a video conference call is the norm if you want a meeting across the globe these days. BTW folks CSMs are not CCP employees but player elected representatives with real world lives much like the rest of it. I know there is no way I could drop everything and make a trip (even expenses paid) to Iceland for a meeting with a company who does not pay my bills.

Not sure why it'd matter. CCP has never given much heed or power to the CSM. CSM are only there to give we, the players, a feeling like we are represented in CCP's eyes. I don't recall the last time (or any time) CCP actually listened to the CSM in earnest.

Why would they?
Its obvious that CCP don't really take our concerns seriously.
If this had the remotest chance of being true, they would have said the CSM is coming in to talk as a form as damage control.
I find it far more likely that its the weekend, and they don't really care.

If I were in CSM I don't think I'd want to talk to CCP anymore. They made their opinion of the players crystal clear. The only thing CSM is going to hear is spin and BS from Failmar.

I seriously doubt they sold enough Monocles to support sending all of them to Iceland for a meeting.

Or they are bringing them in to make a tell them a bunch of lies again to quell the rebellion.
Only for CCP to proceed as planned as soon as they dust settles.

Don't go to Iceland. It's probably a manhunt. Failmar is probably going to put you in an interrogation room to weed out who leaked the stuff out. He already said ignore the players so the logical deduction is they want the CSM there for investigations into the breach of CCP's secrets

Mittens wrote this tidy summary of his current views on the matter.
Trebor and Seleene have been blogging, also, apparently.

Edited by: Valei Khurelem on 26/06/2011 05:49:24 Maybe we should ask the Icelandic army to pay CCP a visit?
I'm sure they have a lot of anger to get rid of after being declared terrorists by the UK.

CSM going to Iceland? Don't know and don't care.
For the love of god people don't fool yourself into thinking the CSM was/is or will ever be more than a CCP PR stunt.
Seriously.
