Hah, like you or any current players matter in CCP's long-term plans. "Cease-fire"? The conversion of Eve to a microtransaction cash cow will continue. The only thing that CCP wish didn't happen is the leak. Whatever you do, it doesn't matter. Eve will be more and more casual.

I'll fold to their stall tactic and then raise them all in on the next hand if they don't get their ducks in a row.

I was protesting to get a response from CCP over non-vanity NEX items, they have responded and I personally don't see much value to continuing the in-game protests at least until the report is in from the meeting with the CSM.
But this is not something CCP need to be taking lightly or long over, I was there the past 3 days and we're looking for some pretty definite and prompt clarification of CCP's plans for the NEX store.
As for the people who are continuing to protest, call me patronising but quotes like:
Originally by: QwaarJet No. CCP's words do not matter anymore. The trust is broken.
kind of make it seem like they're roleplaying an oppressed citizen of a dictatorship, if CCP's words don't matter anymore why bother to protest? If there's literally nothing they can say that will reassure you, if you are completely unwilling to trust anything they say or do ever again then it's probably time to move on to a new game, but you won't find one with a more engaged relationship between developers and players than EVE.

Yes.
Stalling or no, it's a gesture of reason and goodwill on the players' part. We're not trying to overthrow EVE, we're trying to save it. Seven tickets to Iceland on such short notice cost a lot more than they made on 52 monocles. CCP is extending an olive branch; I say take it.

If you said YES you are letting them get away with ruing the game.
You say NO and keel the pressure on them until they cave. IF you blink they win. When you say Ill wait for an answer you are blinking.
I might say yes to a ceasefire if the CEO that thinks of us as cows stepped down. That is the minimum price for a ceasefire.
You are almost as bad as the CCP apologists/fanbois/alts.

The comments re 'gold ammo' are clear enough for me to feel a lot happier. I believe given recent events CCP will be likely to listen and communicate more closely with the CSM and players.
A returned gesture of goodwill to show we genuinely care about the game wouldn't go astray.
If this negotiation fails though its game over.

Yes. I believe CCP needs a chance to respond to the player base as we've pretty much said the past few responses are inadequate at best.
I am however doubtful of the outcome after watching this video: Paying to Win Presentation
Why doubtful? Because this is the direction game companies are going. What remains to be seen is if a Pay to Play Model of gameplay can adapt to this model which is typically only really truly seen in Free to Play games. If so the soul of gaming will forever change, and I don't feel this move will be for the better.

If this is the case, wouldn't it be much better to encourage people to use the forums via CEO's and coop leaders instead of shooting a ******ed monument for more then 6 hrs? I am pretty sure that we can show CCP that we are not going to accept "cash for the win" system by keeping this video bumped all the time and giving the link away in local chats ecc. if we are that addicted to "i have achieved this" feeling of the mmorpgs im pretty sure ruining a company's business model would give us a lot more sadisfaction then pewpewing some pixel art which probably took 10 minutes of 3D modeling on 3Ds max xP
please don't get me wrong im not raging or anything, i have been playing this game for two weeks anyway, all i am saying is that even if we can make CCP loose 2% of the revenue they could do in a year that would give them an idea of what %2 of a society is capable of...
IMO canceling subs is pretty stupid, since the changes they are about to make are focused on in-game cash spending...they already forgot about making revenue out of subscription fees, making the already invested system failing however...thats the way to go to be honest.
