Hey folks
I have a player in my corp that keeps claiming he has a titan in w-space. I know this to be impossible under the current rules and wanted to double check that it always has been before I call him on it. The question I have for you is, was it ever possible? could it have once been built in there before the current sov mechanics or was there wormholes that once had the required mass? Are w-space supercaps like highsec caps?
Thanks in advance.

AFAIK, there is no WH large enough to fit a super or titan through. Also, you cannot build them in a WH as you need Sov to anchor the appropriate POS module (name?).
You might want to wait for a few more "AFAIK"s before calling him on it tho.

That is all true at the moment. I was wanting to double check if it has always been true. Much as you can't build or jump cap ships into highsec but could at one point and some still exist there from that era.

Supercaps requiring sov came long before there were wormholes. So, it's never been possible to build them in w-space.
And no, no wormhole will allow a supercap through. Even if the total mass allowed is more than the mass of the supercarrier or titan, they won't let that much mass through in one jump.

No Titan or Supercarrier can enter W-Space.

In theory he could have built one before the sov changes. Sure, it would be stuck in there, but its still possible.

No, you couldn't have. Sovereignty in wormholes has NEVER been claimable, even with the old rules, and you must have it to use a CSAA.

Right, because the Sov requirement predates W-space... as previously mentioned.

Supercaps occasionally end up docked when their owners don't log on for several months, but I've never heard of a GM moving one to W-space. I think the only way would be for a dev to spawn one there. --- 34.4:1 mineral compression |

Maybe with the passive module exploit it would have been possible. But, if they found one in there it would definitely be moved out of their/wtf brb'q for using an exploit.

Sensible answer:
There are some wormholes (1.35b per jump) that have enough mass to fit a SC, but they won't let you jump in.
As said above technically it would've been possible for someone to drag a SC from a CSAA and transport it into a wormhole using the recent stacking exploit.

That image cannot be legit. If it is then its a serious bug/exploit

Posting to confirm I'am writting a petition about the 3 players and their corp found in that image for having exploited to bring supercaps into wormhole space.

Im going to go with the poster; this is an exploit of game mechanics, i would personally submit a move request for your SC's via petition yourself. As i will also be submitting a petition against it for exploit of game mechanics.

Posting to confirm that you can petition all 3 players if you like, but as I'm clearly in a subcap there's jack**** to petition.

Was my guess. The old "moveme" service allowed people to move their ships anywhere. This was changed as many exploited it, especially while in combat.

As stated already supercaps have never been able to get into wormholes. A S/C could in theory jump in a wormhole like this one but the game doesn't let you do it. It was tested around the time WHs came out.
Can anyone who manufactures SCs confirm whether they get built in the same way as regular caps, i.e. you "launch" them from the CSAA once they are built? Could you transport them packaged in something that could carry them?
Regards the screenshot - yes, obviously it's SiSi. here's some more proof. CCP guy kindly ported us into the wormhole.
If I did have a SC in a wormhole on TQ I'd hardly post a screenshot of me blatently using it when it would obviously be an exploit would I. Think McFly think!

The devs apparently, as there was so much whining about it that moveme was nerfed into oblivion.

In theory, after you lost your supercap, you could go into wormhole space and wait for it to be reimbursed to you there
If you got the magical GM that does reimburse ****, he's not going to care where you are.

Reimbursed ships are only given in stations, so unless you managed to get an outpost into a WH (Would be awesome to see btw) then your wrong.
