I was going to evemail you, but you've apparently biomassed this char (according to the incredibly-not-buggy eve gate, anyway).
If the above is true, where should we evemail?

Started the game and moved to low sec in 2 weeks, before I could even do level 3's properly. I was struggling in my Cyclone as there were no tier2 battlecruisers yet. Soon the Drake was invented and I crosstrained for it, made the first 2 billion running level 3 and 4 missions in low sec (much better payouts if you don't let yourself get ganked), though much of the money was spent on pvp ships again.
After a year or so I had quite some isk saved and started another character and trained it for invention. I set up a highsec POS and started inventing/manufacturing T2 stuff there. Also made some money grinding missions to get access to R&D agents.
I managed to do that for about a year before I got bored, but in that time made about 10 billion while my main was still pvp'ing and also making the occasional isk from faction spawns in 0.0 and of course random pvp loot. I sold off all the invention assets and just lived off the money I had for a good long while. Also made some money on the side running missions to fix standings for the opposing factions which I had destroyed in my newbie missionrunning career.
I still had at least 5-6 billion liquid isk when I joined a wormhole corp and after that I made quite a bit more just running C6 sites. Was able to buy a 7 billion isk character to make it a total of 3 and train them all for capital ships (expensive books). After a while I put that third character in highsec to run Incursions there as I found out the isk is as good as in wormhole space and it's easier to run them.
However I don't even tend to use that character that much as I don't need the isk that badly anymore. I am wrapping up some skilltraining on it and will then move it to my second account and stop the third account. Been paying for my accounts with plexes for a long time now and that should save me a plex per month.
Now sitting at about 17 billion liquid isk and easily 12 billion more in assets. I never did get smart and started trading though, I probably should as everything I did involved quite some work. --- Drykor - AHARM |

I bought a mod at a ridiculous price and then a month later sold the same mod at a ridiculously low price and had that aha moment. If I was willing to buy and sell at stupid prices then maybe there were others out there who would as well. The rest is history.

I made my first few billion selling items not available in other regions. Then proceded to lose almost all of it to a scam sisters of eve probe contract.
I made it all back doing the same thing with SOE launchers and probes. At one point I was selling launchers in nine different regions. Thought my gig was up when CCP added probes to the market but it actually worked in my favour. Probably controlled 1/3 of all the probes on the market for a while.
Got bored of selling SOE stuff and started farming COSMOS static sites. Saw a market for complete kits. Had a private buyer for my first few months. When his sales dried up, I advertised on the sales forum and the business took off. I went all in with PIpocolypse, investing all of my 8-9b. Missed the real earners with that expansion, but still came out with 27b.
Cosmos kits where in crazy demand and I hired a few ingame friends to help me make them. Peak sales last year was in the region on 8b a month.
I'm pretty much retired from isk making now. I have 30b+ liquid, 90-100b in assets and invested in characters with a total of 250m SP.
If you'd like more just contact me ingame.

I traded in 0.0 for a while. Wrote about it here. I don't even really think it's because it's a 'secret' that it's hard to tell people. More because it's an instinct, accompanied by a lot of research that it really hard to teach people. I tried to share a few things here, but most trade 'how-tos' are common sense. A lot of the actual trade routes, items, etc. are things you have to figure out as you go.
Most people want easy ISK, and don't realize that no matter what people tell you, it takes time and energy no matter how you do it. Unless of course your best friend decided to leave game and give you all his stuff.

I probably have a few billion in assets from missioning I should get rid of. And another 300-350mil worth of ships I just started building a few hours ago. Than another bil in ships. And a whopping 97mil in my wallet. For a total of 4-6 billion including everything I have I think.
Made my first billion by missioning, though I never did have the magical 1billion isk in my wallet, its all been in assets. Currently I am still doing missions, but I am starting branching off into R&D agents, research and manufacturing, as well as some trading.

I am not that rich (roughly 100 B in assets and liquidity), but had a good time mass production scratching T2 ships, 1000 per year.
But it is a time consuming nightmare: 120 invention jobs each 12.5 hours can easily drive you crazy.

I suppose while I am here...
In my early days in EVE (2005-2006) I was only a casual EVE player with most of my attention still on other games. I dabbled in most things and just tried to learn the game. I, like many EVE players, lived from hand to mouth with only a few million in my wallet most of the time.
Later (2007-2008) I got more involved with EVE and started seriously exploring the market and industrial aspects of the game. I set up datacore harvesting (back then a Mechanical Engineering datacore was worth over 2m) and experienced the joy of a sizeable passive income flowing from my alts. I set up a POS in the Friggi solar system and got into invention, making fairly large numbers of Falcons and Cerberus to sell on the Jita market. I farmed the Caldari COSMOS constellation around Friggi and made a lot of easy isk from that (the rewards were much higher back then as implants were much more valuable). At this point, I had several billion isk to my name and I would guestimate a NAV of around 10b.
Then (2008) I got involved with service-based industries. I joined a POS corp to the ZZZ research alliance (run by Ricdic) and started renting my spare research slots to customers. I found this was another good low-effort income source and saw there was a lot of potential for expanding this kind of service.
So (in mid 2008) I launched my first IPO to fund another POS corp for the ZZZ alliance in the Bahromab solar system.
http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=818354
http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=825795
I progressively expanded this operation (from 3b to 9b) with public funding until it had 3 publicly funded towers in Bahromab to complement my 2 privately funded towers in Friggi. I took on various tenants and research service contracts and my POSes where busy and highly profitable. By this point I would guestimate my NAV at somewhere around 30b.
Then (in 2009) I launched my 4% Bond, which bought out my IPO.
http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1071177
Then (in mid 2009) I started Titans For You.
http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1106485
Then (in early 2010) I launched a second Bond at 3%, which expanded several times (to 30b) and funded both research services and a secured loan business:
http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1251165
Alongside these public ventures I ran several ventures within my alliance and several large private deals with individual customers/investors.
By this point I was rolling in isk and assets. I started re-selling Titan BPCs and doing manipulations on the Titan BPC market, which was netting me multiple billions from each trade and tens of billions monthly. At this point my combined public and personal wealth crossed the 1 trillion mark.
And then... well, you know what happened then... I bought out my Bonds and "privatised" Titans For You.
I've been pretty busy since then, but I'd rather not disclose the nature of all my ongoing operations. Nonetheless, I'm making good progress towards the 2 trillion mark.

I started in 2009, not sure if around 100bil is considered "rich" these days, but I started by building this tool: http://evemarket.logicaldreams.net/
And used it for my first couple months to make an initial few bil. Then started selling subscriptions, which became a decent semi passive form of income.
After that I started on patch day speculation, I made a killing on Tyranis, a good amount on most expansions since then. Speculated on plex at one point, and noctis bpo's when they first came out both to good effect.
More recently I discontinued my subscription service, and have sold several source licenses for said application for 5 bil each.

Always been around the 100-300 million mark but with ships to spare.
Now after doing 2 months of incursions, made about 8 billion isk, spent 4 of it on gametime a factionship and a tengu and am sitting on 4 billion liquid not motivated to do anything.
I was always busy getting rich but didn't know how to get there. Now suddenly I don't know what to buy and cba to log on.

Originally by: Kalorned I don't know if I'm considered wealthy or not, I have 6.5 billion in liquid ISK - with another 1-2 billion in assets that could be sold in about a months time. I started as a low-sec mission runner. I befriended a local defense group that lived in a small pocket of low-sec space where there were 3 L4 Q20 agents for my faction of choice. In exchange for helping defend the constellation every once in a while, I was left alone most of the time to mission in that system. I made my first billion doing this. After that, I spent all that money on my PvP main, leaving about 200 million.
From there I took the 200 million and began buying low and selling high. I started around December, so I guess when put that way I make about a billion ISK a month (accounting for the occasional whelp of my mains PvP ships and also the occasional goodwill I perform) I could probably make a ton more, but I limit myself to working with only 1 billion ISK at any given time, the rest I just save so I can comfortably PvP on my main.
Would that system with 3 L4 Q20 agents in low sec happen to be Yahyerer? I made my first "fortune" there running missions. Was a lot of fun fighting off the pirates and killing all of the bots with the defense group in that area. That was a long time ago though. ----------

We began as mission runners a few years ago, but it was highly repetitive and didn't match our previous MMO experiences with mass-multiboxing. We quickly shifted into industry and manufacturing in Providence before the fall, and "hired more miners" (made more accounts). We used the GTCs to pay for accounts back then before they were trendy. As our mining ability expanded, so too did the number of accounts we had. We had around 12-15 miners mining dark glitter over in E-YCML, which was the largest organized mining fleet in the game at the time. Right after Dominion hit we demonstrated this by easily becoming the first level 5 industry system. Our nightly fleet size would reach 50-60 miners, the summary of it is here with pretty graphs. We were extracting billions a day.
During this time we had been shifting the wealth of our assets into capital component BPOs, and researching them up with a high sec tower alt corp (Bloodtear Labs). We also assembled a high sec freighter fleet of 3 charons at this time which we used to run the nullsec barrier between Dital and KBP for importing minerals and exporting ice. With the imported minerals we began construction of large stockpiles of capital components in a nearby system, and shortly thereafter bought two wyvern BPCs and churned those out. After the sale of the wyverns, and selling off vast stockpiles of ice we managed to buy a researched titan bpo below NPC cost.
Then happened the fall of Providence, with CVA provoking -A- and then being crushed as part of a military training exercise by -A- and friends. Evacuation occurred and we joined the NC (the enemies of the SC who destroyed Providence) just before MAX2. We began ice mining again up in Vale of the Silent, this time with 20 accounts (500-600mil/hr), and began CSAA lines for super construction. Expanding exponentially we got up to 5 CSAAs running full time. We were even granted our own solar system based on the merit of our military and industry power, where we took up ore mining, and produced the Industry Report. We gathered together our own private super capital fleet which we used during the NC wars of MAX2 and the downfall of MAX3.
Our wealth has been entirely earned through hardwork and our sheer numbers. We have never been in a position of authority where we sap isk from others, never owned any isk printing machines (tech moons), never scammed, never owned any T2 BPOs, nor done any CCP patch speculation. Our PLEX costs are around 13bil a month, and we sport over 35 active accounts. We're worth somewhere in the vicinity of 750bil now. --------------------------- Full Explanation of the Industry Index System |

I have more ISK than most, and less than some :)
I started as a miner mining Jaspet in low-sec with a Navitas, later with a Vexor. I saved my ISK and mined for a Megathron. While looking for a BPC for the Megathron I realised there was much profit in making them. So I made from BPC until I could afford a BPO. During that time I got involved with friends in an alliance that paid me to haul POS fuels out to nullsec. I quickly left the battleship making game and concentrated on supplying POS fuels. At one point I had 4 accounts running 4 freighters supplying fuels. This did me well for a while, until Tech 2 starting taking off, and I got myself into the POS business making components for Tech 2. Eventually I obtained a couple of Tech 2 BPO, and did the a..z thereof. This led to being able to manipulate the market on some goods across several regions. About 2 years ago I sold off all those assets, got into the MD investing stuff until I realized it is just too much work to sift scams from legit. I am just simply loitering these days, slowly losing my isk in PvP.
So most of my ISK is from hard work. The effort involved running 4 x Iteron V 40 jumps through nullsec twice a day without Warp-to-Zero is something most younger players would not understand. Today I can make the same profit by running just one level 4 mission.

Basically my story goes like this.
First I joined SCC-Lounge and begged for adestrias until I amassed a great number (5) of them. After that I spent a great deal of time sitting in Amarr trolling spaceship barbie and learning how to trade scam until I realized I sucked at it and barbie blocked me so it got boring.
Then I went afk for 3 months.
Then I came back and made the rest of my fortune scamming people for 1mil isk (LOL ENDER) in SCC-Lounge until Lauren Hellfury banned me out of maddness (because he's a spaceship barbie alt, and was upset that I was so good at scamming). I also have made a little isk on the side by investing in bonds here in MD, if you check my recent posting history.
All of this has amounted to my total NAV of 28,914,361.06 isk.
