Ship speed not reflecting actual ship speeds. I've noticed it randomly lock on certain random speeds and stay there, even in warp. It resets itself to zero after a gate jump, but then randomly freezes again once accelerating in the new system. But as far as I can tell, the ship is still moving at the speed it should be (i.e. 100% for 100%, warping at 75%, speed mod effects still applying) regardless of what the speedometer is reading.

Same here, not raging but not playing either. Docked, can't play, my ship took half an hour killing a ship it usually kills in a few hits, and its tank just lacks 25% resists. And the workaround doesn't work for me. I hope this is addressed fast because I have only ten days left and I'm NOT renewing under those conditions.

I would love to be able to avoid the CQ, and dock right to the dock. Give me the chance to not visit the dark and choppy CQ you've built for us. It slow down my iMac so badly, that I'm avoiding docking at all!. I've seen FPS with more detailed graphics where you can walk, run, sprint and duck, while watching a streaming video and using Skype at the same time. For some gurista reason, the CQ is so demanding on my hardware, that I beg you to spare me the CQ if I choose so. Yours truly,

The new patch works as fine as Incarna 1.0. Same framerate (60fps in space, 30 in CQ), same loading time dock/undock (same time of pre-Incarna), same buggy sound (miners) and warp effect. But that's all. No other skills/ships/CQ/black dot/HDR bugs found. All settings "high" with HDR and all activated. Exactly the same of Incarna 1.0.

I don't usually complain or post much in these threads but I feel I must say something here. I am running Eve on a pc consisting of an asus crosshair III mobo with an AMD 955 quad core, 8 gigs of ddr3 and 2 ATI hd4870's in crossfire on a 6 meg internet connection. There is no reason I should be having the kind of trouble Im having with your latest patch. The cq in station causes my cards to jump to 99% on the activity monitor in catalyst control center and they very quickly reach overheated status and shut down eventually. I have spoken to many other players running ATI and AMD gear who say they are having the exact same issues. win7 pro 64
I don't understand how you can call this a success,a marvel or a "pinnacle of professionalism" when half your player base can't even run it safely any more!
If you can't do better than this I will have no choice but to cancel all 6 subs I currently have just for the simple reason of equipment preservation.
Please address this asap or you will find yourself in the pages of history as a great game that died due to reaching too far too fast. Your developing the game faster than the players can keep up. My hardware runs better in codmw2 and Crysis 2 than it does in Eve now, that is unacceptable.
Thank you for your time |

cpu load has dropped by an average of 30% for me. gpu load appears to be less. (fans no longer sound like a jet aircraft taking off.) dont see anything in the patch notes that could account for this drop in resource usage but whatever you did ccp keep doing it.

Er .. no ... Same GPU rate, same CPU Rate .. Still can't run 2 clients as I used to without not loading the CQ .. Fail. And this on a machine that used to eat EVE for breakfast.

Maybe you need to upgrade your old hardware, sadly, computer components are updated so fast they become outdated just as fast, something that was the best thing out there 3-5 years ago is now as good as a 486-DX4 lol

Sooo the whole "skills not applying" thing, is that still just the drones and probes issue? I'd kind of like to know what skills are broken before finding out the hard way. I haven't really noticed much of a difference since the expansion (but then I haven't played a whole lot since the expansion). Seen a couple of people asking for the details, and no response yet. Can I ask nicely (hides pitchfork behind back), if we could get a CCP confirmation as to exactly what is broken? Pretty please with a pony on top? ^_-

Dear sirs,
EVE is a great game, and a lot of fun to play. I appreciate all the effort that CCP puts into its maintenance and continued evolution, and I appreciate the difficulties of developing and deploying a large and complicated piece of software.
That said, EVE is something I do in my downtime, not something that competes with my vocation or my avocations. It's frustrating and time consuming to constantly patch, re-patch, and re-download the client, to comb the forums for technical support and to devise ways to work around broken features. Since the Incarna release, I've spent more time doing all of the above than actually playing. If continuing with EVE means continuing to wrestle with regularly occurring technical difficulties, then I'm honestly not sure that I want to spend my time or money on it. EVE is fun, but not enough to become a chore.
As a player and a paying customer, I sincerely hope the next major update will mean a stable, usable client. Thanks for your consideration.
Regards,
--s

According to my mechanic there is a gear that can be replaced near the transmission and the speedometer that will fix false speedometer readings. If you are using larger tires than factory recommended tires you will have to replace the gear with a specific one that reflects actual tire size. Radar detectors may enable you to travel at faster speeds in concord monitored space without getting a ticket for speeding. Although in lowsec and 0.0 who cares. Just go as fast as you can go....

Please use us coins in juke box. Peso's and euro's are not recognized. We apologize for not having a jukebox that accepts foreign currency to play your favorite elvis tunes but we are working on a work around. Clicking your heels together and saying there is no place like home has not worked and we are consulting with the wizard of oz for another option.

You sir, are one of the few bold enough to cancel your sub to send a message that ccp has completely failed in the roll out of something that was marketed as something as the next generation of excitement yet failed on an incomprehensible level to excite even a young stud on viagra. Hats off to you for recognizing things as they are.

an amazing technological and artistic achievement. A vision from years ago realized to a point that no one could have imaged but a few months ago. It rolls out without a hitch, is in some cases faster than what we had before. ----------------------------------------- I can tell you that this is one of the moments where we look at what our players do and less of what they say. -CCP Hilmer |

So... what skills might not be applied? To what ships under what circumstances? This is kind of the main mechanic of the game, so details would be appreciated.
Quote: An issue causing skills to not be applied to ships has now been resolved. This will be addressed in a future release. Currently you can apply a workaround which is to relog in a station or Log off in space, wait until your ship gets removed from space and then log back in.

Edited by: Nox Filii on 29/06/2011 06:32:54 The other problem with assigning the drones, i have to do this allways twice, to attack the target, stillt exists?
they switch to ne new target and beginn to fight, then after 2sec some of them dont like to do theire job an return to my ship. so i have to command the drones for every target two times. this is annoying..
switching to my skills, those history, makes problems.

New Issue w/ this patch
Just had an abaddon fleet and multiple people in fleet saw their ship as a cloaked harbinger model.
Unresolved issues: 1. Sporadic warp effects 2. Speedometer still broken, I would like to know how fast I am going. 3. Sometimes my hot keys work, sometimes they don't.
Keep on patching CCP, carbon ui sucks so far. |

When using a carrier in the hanger with incarna it would be nice if additional options appeared on the holographic of the ship so you can open the ship maint bay, corp hanger, fuel bay, instead of having to do it from the usual ship icon.

The same goes for the Orca: ship maintenance bay, corp hangars and ore hold.

Yeah indeed. I can see my wallpaper again. And EVE uses 0% of my CPU. Maybe that's because it's not launched?

- Ship speed indicator locks constantly.
- Assets windows still sorting wrong when using "number of items in station", among other asset window badness - since incursion 1.6 - no response to bug report (112736)
- more ghost items in d-scan than usual

Originally by: Miss Teri - Loading CQ takes a long time (compared to loading the hangar before incarna). This means docking and swapping ships takes longer than it needs to. And this have made me uncheck "Load Station Environment". Would be nice if this was made into a tri-choice ("Load CQ", "Load Hangar" and "Don't load"). And of course an "Enter CQ" button in the hangar.
Completely agree
