Eve just crashed to desktop... i got this message 3 times in a row, 'The transport has not yet been connected, or authentication was not successful'
Any ideas?
(yes i am using the correct pw/un and my account is fine)

same thing happened to me aswell, adn a couple of others in my corp. So looks like its a problem with server

I hope the population of Eve doesn't get around 20k, or the game will be unplayable.

Bah it's just a server crash.
Not happening that much often compared to other games I used to know...
Still frustrating but well. CCP is not doing so bad on an overall view, imho

Well, yes, it died - and now its resurected -
However, I still cant connect - cause I need this guy named "Proxy" to first connec tot eve.
I get thi smessage: "Proxy not connected"
He must be a dev or game designer or something - one of the VIPs
But yes, compared to other games, EVE is paragon of stability.

So, anyway, this couple's in bed, it's about 3.30 am.
Next thing is a knock on the door so, looking at his clock, the husband goes down stairs and opens the door.
There, very unsteady on his feet, is a guy all too intoxicated to talk properly.
"M'sorry buddz" stammers the drunk "but, couldz ya giv'z a push"?
"Get lost" says the house owner, shutting the door on the drunk.
He climbs the stairs and proceeds to climb back into his bed when his wife says "who was that"?
"Bahh! some drunk wanting to know if i could give him a push, i told him to scram" replies the husband.
"Oh, thats not very nice" exclaims his wife "remember when we were on holiday last year? and we broke down in the middle of nowhere and you knocked on that couple's door at 2'o'clock in the morning and asked them to help us"?
"We would have been stuck for god knows how long if they had'nt have helped us, we were very grateful for that"
"Oh, yeah" says the husband "i s'pose your right"
So, after putting on his clothes and fastening his shoes, the husband goes downstairs and opens the door but, in the darkness. cannot see the drunk.
"Hello" calls the husband "are you there?"
"Yesh" calls back the drunk.
"Do you still need a push" shouts the husband.
"Sure do" says the drunk.
"Ok, where are you, it's very dark out here" shouts the husband.
"I'm here" shouts the drunk "in your garden, sat on the childrens swing"
Remember, only dead fish and broken sticks go with the flow. |
